Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

So the X-Men print is going to run $400 if you want the whole team - framed only. That really sucks. Each team will be available separately for $90 framed or $240 unframed. For $400 I would have preferred getting it professionally framed locally. Was looking forward to this, but not sure what I'm going to do. Might just pick up the Blue team now or perhaps the Blue and the Gold team each unframed.

Hmm I may have to do the same as well. Thanks for the info.

Cool story....for the 1,000th time

Out of your 52,000 posts I'm guessing 15% are about what you're eating, 15% are about what you're drinking, 15% are about what you're watching, 5% contribute positively to a conversation, and the remaining 50% are ****** remarks like this one. No wonder PCS doesn't come here anymore. For $400 I can get a signed, framed, high quality giclee print from Alex Ross or Jim Lee on high quality paper. $400 from Sideshow gets you an unsigned print on ok paper in a plastic frame with acrylic non-UV protection. But you keep riding that Sideshow train, ink.

By the way, I did buy the comic con prints because I can get them signed by Artgerm while at SDCC. That's worth spending the money on them for me.

I have Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman framed and they look nice on display but you are right about the materials. They feel cheaper than what I can get at a custom framing shop. With a basic frame and single or double matting I can come out about the same price as Sideshow ($150) with coupons from my local shop and the materials are better. It's nice that Sideshow offers the option though for those who want to have it arrive ready to display. My biggest problem with them is the price for the size of the basic print. I feel like these prints should be 24x36" or cost about $30 less. It's not like we're paying for a signature. :lol

Yeah, I got the Superman print with frame from Sideshow and was disappointed with the quality of the materials when it arrived. It doesn't look bad but when you really examine it you can tell everything is pretty cheap. This has been talked to death, but I wish Sideshow just wouldn't bother with the fake signature at all. Sell them as limited numbered prints and drop the price $30-40. The extra money is probably just going toward paying off their autograph robot anyway.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

So what are we to do if we wanted the creator's autograph on the full team print? Is it worth it to have him sign the frame, or better to get the two prints separate unframed and pay $100 each to have them both signed? :huh :dunno

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Quick question:

Is there going to be a wait-list for Poison Ivy Variant and Harley Quinn Variant ? I missed them when the option "ship to me" was still avalaible and they're now completely sold-out.. I don't want to pay $250 on eBay for each so if there's going to be a wait-list later on I want to be on it !

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Are you kidding me??? Finally Sideshow releases a decent print (X-men full) and they play this Bull*****. $400 framed only. Will cost a fortune internationally.

Its bad enough they just re-released the 3 siren "variants" if you can call them that as a big F U... now this. Thats it Im done with SS for good.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Wtf are you guys serious? $400 damn I really wanted that Xmen print but can't afford that price for an unsigned print.

Why is $400 such a big surprise? The 24" framed prints are $240
This is 48" @ $400

I mean it's way too expensive for not being signed but it is 4 feet long. I'm not too surprised by the price due to the size

I just noticed that the blue team framed has a blue border around it whereas the full print is red.

There isn't a picture of the framed gold team. So I wonder what color it'll be. I think I like the blue border better.

My app won't let me post a picture of it but if you click on the art print it'll pull up the picture.
