I'm thinking the "Part 1" of Infinity War will almost assuredly have some shocking deaths, only to have them brought back midway through Part 2. I wouldn't be surprised if the Russos requested two movies just so they wouldn't have to immediately resurrect characters that died in the same film like they had to do with Fury in TWS.

They should just have Thanos unleash everything on Cap and have Cap absorb it all like a blast of Vita-Ray.

Oh I know (and of course that's the real reason) I just can't help but think that the Russos will take advantage of the break between Parts 1 and 2 to have people shocked in between.

End of part 1 zooms in on Iron Man's casket, which starts to glow red around where the arc reactor would be as the titles come on.

How many villains in the MCU have had their back story presented to gain audience sympathy.

I say Loki, Winter Soldier, Zemo, Killian and I guess Trevor.

Yeah but I don't want to see just a line or two like with Zemo, I want at least a good chunky flashback or two to see how ****ed up and bad this guy is.

If any one villain deserves it in this MCU, it's him. I want what they did with Kingpin, with Thanos.

Maybe not even flashbacks, just show what he's about. To set him up good.

So far the audience doesn't know him, and he's only foreshadowed because the likes of us know who he is.

I'm keeping my expectations low because we know he's going to get his ass kicked in the end, unless they actually do something very creative and find another way to conclude the story without the typical third act battle like X Men Apocalypse and countless other movies. If not, I'm expecting him to show up in Part 1 giving a few speeches and in part 2 maybe he kills some people and then he gets his ass kicked.

Oh yeah, I don't expect anything else other than a boss fight, and I don't mind, it's the estructure of almost every single CBM:

-action-y opening
-Mid-movie fight/conflict, on which heroes usually lose.
-Big boss fight.

I just hope the characterization is juicy.

If they do something else then it could be a pleasant surprise, but it's comics, most of these big events have to end with a big all out physical confrontation.
