Yeah, it looks like they are reusing the old arms, instead of making some new arms to go along with the new shoulder sculpt. Is it possible they are just using those old arms for the proto/display and the final figure might come with new updated arms?

I highlly doubt they'd do that, since nothing that has been shown in press shots ever came out any different than that to my knowledge.

Yeah, but I'm also like that has to be a bit of angled optical illusion there right? That can't possibly match up so well looking just straight at it from the front.

It's the lack of that loose hair that makes the choice for me not buying him. I don't know if I should be glad or sad about that. Bit of both.

Shoulders aren't new either, they've reused SSA goku's shoulders

In fact, i'm not sure, but I think that the only resculpted or new pieces (comparing with Armored Trunks) are those thighs (Bigger and shorter) and the stomach/belly piece, which is shorter, and flat.
Probably also vegeta's biceps are new and shorter, although we can't see his regular arms at any promotional pic clearly, so it's hard to tell

There is no way it doesn't work. When figures use simple pegs for heads, you can fit any head on there. Now the video said that it might not work for scale reasons because this Trunks is taller (being older) than the previous Trunks figure, but honestly from the pictures we've seen so far that attempted the new head on the old body, it looked just fine. I think you can safely bet on it.
