My suggestion is to keep checking if you're looking to buy one. It showed as sold out on the day they changed it from "pre-order" to "add to cart." I assumed that I had missed out or that they had done it on purpose to keep people from using the discount like you said. I happened to check again a few days later, hoping that there had been some order cancellations or they had received another shipment, and it was back in stock. If you are able to order, just make sure to contact the Support department since the discount wasn't automatic. They said to let the order charge in full, then to contact them again after the order shipped to have them issue the refund. It took some work, but it was worth it for the discount.

I'll keep my eyes peeled, but i am sure no-one knows how many they will get back in.

Just got my custom made plate for the Delorean delivered this morning and to say it's stunning is an understatement !!
Makes the car look loads better instead of that **** sticker.

Now await my Arcylic display case to display this bad boy.

Agreed. The guy is extremely talented and has produced some amazing work, but $70 + Paypal fees on top for a little plate is too rich for my blood too. And I'm sure he'll have reasons why it's so much - custom made, lots of work, painting, blah, blah. . . Just not worth it for a minor tweak IMO.

Looks nice though, so props to those that get/have them.

Yeah not worth it. $70 may not be a lot of money for some people but for me it is and its not worth it. Should be about $30 - 40 which would be acceptable.

I'm still crossing my fingers for BTTF II flying version. Will get one in the end!

For the 3D plate, I really hope Hot toys upgrade theirs for the BTTF II flying version (if it happens, of course)
For the $70 custom plate, I think it's reasonable price.
It's all hand made. If any skilled artist sit down and make it, it would take one 4-5 hours minimum.
US min. wage is what..$15/hr? then you do the math.

If it's worth it to you..that's your decision.

Well said fella ..... yes the plate is maybe a little rich but believe you me it's worth it to me instead of that **** sticker !
