Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Fi...

Its just pretty much a given man...There's a lot of stuff from this movie that was heavily inspired by graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns"...
And in the confrontation, Batman wore the suit to be able to stand up better with Superman.

He was just talking about the regular batsuit.
Cause Bruce was gonna break in Lexcorp as Batman, and Alfred tells him you dont need to cause Bruce Wayne was able to get more information than Batman did, and also, Bruce Wayne is invited to Lex's party.

true story, but dont tell to much about the movie for people who have didnt see it yet xD

Yea I recall that conversation. I'm thinking about another exchange at another point. It wasn't a full convo just a quick mention. I'll have to see it again.

i was disappointed with the lack of build up to the fight. I get what you're saying about how he just shows up in it.

Yeah, it definitely missed something there. They just needed to spend more time on the story at hand in general, and less on the various subplots.

They should have done a 80's action movie style montage before the fight when he was lifting weights and getting prepped for Superman. :lol

I know that. This isn't the comic.

In TDK when he gets the new suit, he mentions to Fox about wanting something new that he can move more freely in. When we next see him, we know why he's wearing the new suit.

All it needed was something like that.

Why?
It's fairly obvious-he's fighting superman-a God. Of course he's going to have some
Heavy duty armour-it never showed you setting up his traps either or did you need to see that too?
Also he wouldn't wear that armour all the time as you can see from the fight sequences how much slower he moves in it compared to his regular bat suit.
I'm not sure why you want led all the way through the film?
In The dark knight he merely asked for a new batsuit and he got it-zero explanation of how it got made-same applies here

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

I PO'd Batman and Wonderwoman. Was only gonna get those two but I ended also Pre-ordering Black chrome batman. Three for me.

Nice! :hi5:

I have Bats, Supes, WW and now Armored Bats on PO. I think I may get Apocalypse Bats also.

If it's literally just a few metal plates over a normal suit then technically speaking it'd still be, as Hudson says...

Maybe it is just me, but I do actually like to have things like this explained, as opposed to just guessing.

I know what you're saying, but in some instances, I don't really think some things require explaining.

If we're going to go down that route where things need to be explained, then since this is an entirely new and separate Batman from any previous rendition, why stop at the armored suit? How did he learn to fight in this one? Where did he train? Who made his regular suit? What's it made out of? Where did he get the Batmobile and the Batplane in this one? Why was Wayne Manor destroyed?

When it comes to Batman's gadgets, I personally think it's pretty much axiomatic by this point that he has the wherewithal to do this kind of stuff. If it's just something that's absolutely out there I can see it requiring some explanation, but an armored suit doesn't really seem beyond Batman's capabilities of being able to construct.

I'll have to see the movie again but I could've sworn earlier in the movie Bruce asks Alfred about a suit being ready or something ... I assumed he was talking about this.

Was it during the scene where Alfred was working on the tech cowl?

What I said was that even something as small as a single line (such as in TDK) would have been enough.

Re: Hot Toys MMS Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Armored Batman Collectible Figure

I just wanted to know a bit more about it. It popped up then disappeared, beyond guessing we have no idea if it was just a few bits of metal or a proper mechanical suit that increases strength. Most of you are obviously fine with that, but I would have liked to have been given a bit of info on it.

Lol...I guess I should say, confirmed 3 for now. I had no intentions of getting apocalypse batman, but after seeing the movie, Man the it looks sick on screen!
What I may end up doing is if I'm happy with the Hot Toys regular Batman, I may convert my Custom...he he...barbie batman to apocalypse, kinda like what Elvis did.
But in-hand pics might also get to just get me to say screw it and get it! ha ha

I also havent completely ruled out Superman. The plan is to stick with my repainted MOS figure, but just buy the B v S head.
But I'm still curious to see in hand pics. One of the things that may get me to buy it is if its a lot beefier than the MOS figure, since he looked jacked in BvS.
The MOS looks perfect for that movie cause he looked younger and slimmer.
In this movie, he looks seasoned and so they made him also bigger.

I'm the same as you.

My initial plan was to just get Supes and Bats to represent the film, being that it's titled "BvS". I already have the MoS line, but I'm such a staunch Supes fan that I'd probably get any Supes figure that they put out.

Then as the movie release got closer and my anticipation was building up, WW went up for PO and I snared that and was going to keep it at those three. Then I saw the film and saw how cool Armored Bats and Apocalypse Bats looked. :lol

I'm going to be selling off a couple of figures to fund them though (FO HG Stormie and Mk 33 Silver Centurion IM).

Why stop there? Where did Superman get the slight changes in his suit done at?

And the most important question nobody asked:

Since his heat vision is more of a plasma thing than a laser (as it used to be on previous incarnations), how does superman shave?

The old explanation of laser reflected in a mirror doesn't work with that kind of plasma energy.

Also, another thing I really want to know is, what was on Lois Lane's bathtub? It doesn't loose it's opaque consistency even when agitated by superman entering it.
