Hey buddy and thanks for your question! The diorama for my 1/6 Scale Hot Toys Keaton Figure was made totally from Styrofoam! The most important part of the project, other that sculpting the shapes of the rock, was to remember to add wall tile adhesive to the entire structure. This then gives it the tough hard cover and makes it much easier to paint over. If you need any further help then just let me know buddy. Infact, i'm currently building a similar structure for my Millenium Falcon diorama

This has given me an idea for my SS 1/4 Keaton Batman display.

One of my favourite Punisher statues Andy, looks great in those pics and love the custom handgun too looks as though it was meant to have that gun in the first place

Finally got back to my routes and the character that probably means the most to me in the Marvel universe Yep, i love Iron Man! and the new 1/4 Scale MK43 Figure by Hot Toys was one collectible that i was so looking forward to. Infact, i rated this new figure so highly from day 1 saying that it would arguably be the best ever Iron Man collectible (and that's including all the Sideshow Maquettes or even the new MK43 Cinemaquette!)

Now that i finally have it inhand, i'm happy to say that i wasn't wrong! The figure is INCREDIBLE! From the paint apps, to the awesome light up features, to the insane RDJ unmasked portrait...it's simply awesome! I've pretty much owned at one time all the Iron Man movie statues and i can safely say that i'd pick this Hot Toys 1/4 Scale figure over any of them...

There are heaps of reviews on Youtube aswell as on various forums and pretty much all the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive...with that said, the only area in which i had to score it down was the actual base. Now the base is actually pretty well detailed...including the dismembered body of one of Ultrons drones mixed in with some cool looking rocks, etc...but where i feel the base is a flawed design is due to the lack of positions that you are able to display the figure when placing it on top of it The area in which you have to place the feet of the figure kind of limits your choice of pose for the Iron Man and can really become fustrating. So much so that i smashed mine up and decided to display the figure my way! Lol! With that, i give you my 1/4 Scale Iron Man MK43 Figure by Hot Toys...quite simply the best Iron Man collectible i've owned to date!

Did you end up selling your half scale mk1 ?

Oh and like others have said, that bat dio was incredible. Couldnt believe it was made from styrofoam. awesome skills .

In my opinion YES! With that said, i have also have the Iron Studios MK43 and for me, that would be the best 'statue version' of a movie Iron Man that has been released to date. I rate it higher than the original Sideshow MKVI Maquette also....which for so long has been probably the best movie Iron Man statue out there.

The IS MK43 just offers you a great dynamic pose, awesome paint apps, super bright light feature, huge size and presence and a great detailed base.

As an overall collectible though and if i had to pick one, then it would be the Hot Toys 1/4 Scale MK43 all day long. Whilst the base does limit how you can pose it (hence why i had to customise my own) the actual Iron Man figure is just full of crazy detail, 100% movie accuracy, an amazing unmasked portrait, the ability to pose it how you want it...in my pics i havent even shown how many parts of the figure actually light up! its insane how many light up parts there are plus you have the removable parts of the armour too for a different look

Definately worth thinking about....if your leaning towards getting the IS MK43 then bear in mind you'll prob want to get the Captain America companion piece which is a must have when getting the IS MK43....the 2 go hand in hand for me!

Thanks buddy Yea, that Batman diorama went down a storm when i first posted pics of them over on Facebook and of course on my display thread abt 2 years ago...gota few more projects i'm working on which includes my 28" long Millenium Falcon Diorama plus i'll be making something for my 1/^ BTTF Delorean which should arrive anytime now
