I can see Kit in there, but is it MORE Kit than the Threezero sculpt? I'm not sure at the moment.

As I said, I really need to see it painted.

I don't know what to think. I see the sculpt super imposed on top of screen caps and it looks to line up perfectly, but then on its own it doesn't look quite right. But some times a sculpt can look off then turn out to be bang on after a paint job.

I am having the same issue. Not sure why it doesn't look right when not super imposed.

I definitely want to see a repaint of this, because I'm debating having it done myself. I'm just worried that even new paintwork won't improve this sculpt enough.

If you look closely at the photos by threezero with the great paint work and the final product, the sculpt is the same. It hasn't changed, its just the paint work, there is very little to no texture on the final product. It looks like HT and Sideshow figures of old, its amazing how textured skin paint can make a sculpt look real and accurate. This is also the reason HT can charge what they do for their figures (doesn't explain sideshows new pricing though)

Their factory process is excellent and more work needs to be done by others to duplicate it. It's definitely not an army of people painting everything by hand.

Yah you need a good paint job its hard for me to like sculpts unpainted. I bet the 3z sculpt would look much better lightened up and some scratches on the face.

Yeah, I'm having the same reaction. It looks pretty perfect when superimposed, but my brain just isn't making as strong a connection when I see it by itself. That's so weird!

What's more bizarre is ... I'm actually seeing a little bit of Sean Bean in his nose and jaw line! :lol

Either that's great casting, or maybe Kit Harrington has some actual Stark in him after all!

I got this in hand on Wednesday and have to say it is pretty great. Photos don't really give it justice. The head sculpt isn't perfect but from certain angles it works. I think it's pretty good for the price, but then again I'm a huge GoT fan and Jon Snow's one of my favorite characters. Ghost is really imposing and a cool accent piece, not sure if it's worth the extra money for everyone though.

One of the most disappointing figures I've gotten in awhile. Head is almost unrecognizeable to kit Harrington and the swords, hands and boots and ghost just look amature.

I tried my best to address but I don't think there's any more likeness left to pull out image.jpeg

I liked that last round of pics by TheFiend (I'm assuming that's the stock figure) but I'm looking forward to a painted Rocco sculpt.

New review.

I don't see Kit in that custom either and it's weird because I've seen plenty of other non painted sculpts that are dead ringers straight away. Could be another face that is just difficult to sculpt.

I don't see how people don't see Kit Harrington in Rocco's sculpt. I think he just isn't an a person with any particularly unique features. Rocco nailed the mouth, which is what really sells the character to me.

Which along with the upper lip and area immediately around it, is also the major problem with the Threezero sculpt IMO. But they delivered precisely what they've been showing all along so there isn't any reason to be surprised here. I'm loving the figure while realizing some things could have been done differently/better here and there.

Well it looks better. You pulled more likeness out.....a little bit. [emoji38] Would you mind sharing with us what you did here?

Out of curiosity, Raymond, why are you still buy into this line? And I'm not being snarky, it's an honest question. You've been pretty critical on threezero (some of which I very much agree with) and have been fairly critical of the show itself. It doesn't seem like your thing but ya keep coming back. Which is cool by me, I like hearing your thoughts regardless if I agree or not, and seeing your improvements on figures.

Received today:

1/6 ThreeZero's Jon Snow (Game of Thrones)

Let me start with my biggest problem: the headsculpt.
The likeness is somewhat there, but thanks to ThreeZero's paintjob it feels kinda flat, really lifeless, especially his eyes.
With this you can really see the difference between a big company like Hot Toys and a smaller company like ThreeZero.

I also believe a figure like Jon Snow would benefit of a sculpt with rooted hair, in the show he has these wild curly hair and with this sculpted version, it looks kinda tight and flat.

His costume looks great with nice weathering, only his boots seem to me kinda on the large side, just like their Heisenberg for example.
The weapons are made of plastic, which maybe a bit of a disappointment , but I can live with it.

Ghost is nicely done, and is very sturdy and heavy.

Overall, a nice figure for your GoT collection, but it could have been so much greater.
It is that 3Z has some great licenses, but their paintdepartment could use a serious upgrade.

Very nice poses there, leenart. A little different than what we've been doing. :)

With all the criticisms the sculpt is getting might j suggest we tell threezero either through FB or their email. They seemed to be open to listening to their customers in the past. Besides, it will only take a minute of your time and won't hurt anything. If nothing changes then what the hell we tried.

Thanks fiend, it's not where I want it to be but I tried to help it a bit (eyebrow shaping, darker line on the top eyelids and filling in the beard and hairline) ultimately I'm just giving up on it I think it's a really terrible sculpt. I know that's strong but I think it's warranted in this case. The outfit? Very great and that's why I'm still in this line, with hopes better sculpts all be offered some day I'll take what I can get. I definitely have my criticisms for the show too but I acknowledge its still one of the best on tv and I enjoy a lot of the characters, Jon being one of them.

Jamie I'm totally passing on it's not my favorite look and I don't really love the character and I think the sculpt looks pretty questionable too.
