The "Storm Trooper Finn" figure would make for a very cool display, with parts of the armor removed and displayed on the shelf in a line behind him.

Bingo! That's what I planned on doing. FN-2187 never had a blaster pistol in the movie, only a rifle. The two pack is a stealth Stormtrooper Finn release!

Preordered him today. I'd rather have him in the two pack but thinking about how many hot toys i'd like to buy in 2016 and my budget and the fact that he required no nrd made me finally pull this trigger in this way. I want Rey and Kylo Ren too. I'm waiting for a handful more points to become available on my sideshow account to get Ren(I think I can get close to 60 bucks off if I wait just a few more days) and Rey i'm conflicted about cause I really want her with a lightsaber and her second costume. I don't feel I need two of her like I probably will with Kylo.

You could, but if you're patient, I CANNOT imagine Hot Toys won't be making a Stormtrooper Finn with his bloodied helmet.

Nooo.

There is a scene where they played the screams and then he turned before the planets got destroyed. Screams only played on his scene. So it's likely.

However I'm hoping he isn't, cause skilled trooper with a lot of luck is much entertaining to me than relying on the force.

Surely that's not confirmed. Finn's going all the way to Ep9? Ugh.

He was fine in TFA but he's not exactly a guy I want to spend another four hours of movie time with. Isaac's great and Poe has some potential so I hope he's the one that has a greater role from the TFA grouping next time around.

It also gets a bit tired - "who's force sensitive"/"got the force in their bloodline"? It's getting like midichlorians. Or like Hollywood - you gotta be someone's son or daughter to make it.

If Rey's a female Luke, maybe Finn's a male Leia. He has an asexual/brother-sister type relationship with the hero, and will turn out to have an "Ohhh...huh?" affinity with the Force.

I didn't see anyone resembling a new Han Solo. Finn would the last character I would have thought that of as that. People have said Poe because he a little roguish and a pilot, but I didn't get that either.

In some ways I really hope a significant new lead character emerges in Ep8 (hey Lando and Yoda showed up in ESB,) because it was fine for TFA, but I'm not sure the Rey/Finn/Poe thing is all that interesting for a longer run, but who knows. I mean other than guessing who's related to who, and who's "sensitive."

That's what I was thinking a bit as well, but he certainly has personality and was involved in important scenes outside the ship as well. Don't recall Wedge getting tortured by Vader. In certain ways Wedge was just another pilot (but he happened to stick around and therefore had some important moments), plus I thought Dennis Lawson did a great job, too bad he wanted nothing to do with the new movies, if they even asked him to be involved.
