Love the classic headsculpt.

Yes, the extra head is awesome! That what made me want this even more. He-man on the other hand....still on the fence about. When I 1st saw pictures of him I thought it was some Sideshow barbarian warrior that they just came up with. Only when I saw the details in the sword that I knew it was He-man.

o dear, once you start this prepare to be skint :lol

Its a great one for your first :D

I hope not! we'll see. =)

Anyone who actually seen this at the con. Will it display ok with quarter scales or will it be really noticable?

I don't mind anyways, just curious.

I saw it at Con and honestly the presence of the base makes up for the statue being 1/5 scale. In fact, when I saw it I thought it was 1/4 scale because it looked as big in height as a PF so it was a surprise to know the scale was smaller. I think it will look good next to a PF just the character itself will appear slightly smaller; after all, height wise it is 21.5 and most PFs are about 22.5 so it's almost there in size.

It's rare when I purchase something as soon as its up for pre-order. This is one of them

The Blue Skin is starting to grow on me.

It's funny. I only have one statue in my collection ( PF comic version Superman) and although there are many statues out there that are awesome, This is the line that I will collect. I always loved MOTU and had all of the original figures when they first came out. I love sideshow's twist on these statue's and hope the line thrives with future release's.

Oh oh guys I was just about to do the PO on this and then I saw this in their description:

Engineered using an advanced combination of high-quality materials, including polystone resin and PVC.

The key word is PVC anything PVC from SSC has been a total failure (Man of Plastic/Reeve Superman) I bought both and return them because they were so cheap looking and feeling- not sure now. The info says 15lb but that could be all base. I hate that SSC uses PVC on statues and for the asking price and smaller scale it makes me nervous. I guess the question is for this one is how much of the statue will be PVC because if it's like the Man of Steel it will weight and feel like a 2 lb cheap doll, the Reeve was a little better but it still felt cheap borderline Neca quality. Unfortunately my enthusiasm for this figure just dropped a whole bunch [emoji20]

All depends on the amount and how they use the pvc really. PVC lava coming out of the snake mouth on the base could have a softer, more translucent effect. Personally I'm more blown away by the price. I started out collecting the JSC line, 1:5 scale, from $270-$299 only 2 years ago. Arent these 1:5 also?

Love the EX head btw. Makes him look a whole lot more Skeletory.

You could be right but so far all the offering from SSC that was PVC has been disappointing-they just don't know how to incorporate it in their statues IMO. For example, with the Man of Steel they did the entire figure in PVC it was like a 2 lb doll. With Reeve the base was cheap plastic the hands and face had plastic seams it was a let down. As for Skeletor they may use some on the snake or not they may use it on the armor who knows??? While I will still take a chance on this fig it's really disappointing that PVC would be considered at all on a 450.00 statue; hoping they will use PVC on the staff or like you said on the Lava only and not on Skeletor at all. IMO PVC is not Sideshow expertise and therefore they really haven't figure out how to incorporate it properly on their statue without turning it into a cheap doll.
