I'm surprised they're actually getting him out before CNY. Still going to be a long wait until he's in hand but at least I'll know he's on the way.

There was already a custom head made and Threezero's is better. :) And the correct scale.

I know there was one made, but I wouldn't say 3Z's is any better than that sculpt. Neither are that great. There are talented guys on here that knock out likenesses better than 3Z and the company that shall not be named.

A couple of weeks at least, but it depends on how it's shipped. If it goes EMS then 2 weeks or less almost guaranteed. If it's forwarded by a third party and routed through some other country's postal system, there's really no way to know. Shipments via the Netherlands to me here in Canada have taken at the very least 3 weeks after tracking status, plus 1 week before status updates. US-bound shipments for the past few releases have always been quicker than those to Canada going by the info I've exchanged with other customers.

Thanks for the info!!!

No doubt and I've been getting heavily invested in custom projects as of late, but with Threezero I find the work is so close to the money that it's a crap shoot whether or not a custom project is worth the time and investment. IMO the Jon sculpt is at least as good as Tyrion and Ned - all of them can stand to be more accurate, but the same can be said for 95%+ of all the sculpts out there too.

shocked and happy :yess:
looking forward to seeing box design and how ghost will be packaged, smaller extra box like when threeA had a character that came with a polystone dog, was a long brown shipper box with 2 boxes inside. fig in one then on top another smaller box with the dog

Or maybe just a cheap plastic bag where they bag the extra headsculpt for commander shepard, or Legions gun and then just cellotape it to the underneath of the bubble tray. lol

As long as it's not a brick of sculpey with bad instructions on how to sculpt your own, I'm probably going to be satisfied. :)

I am excited for this... I really don't have a problem with the boots, his feet look pretty big in some shots. Following how Ned and Tyrion both look a lot better in hand/production than their proto I am optimistic.

Anyone have any suggestions for some solid off-the-rack replacement boots?
This is the Ned I mentioned in my previous post. The guy said they're repainted WW2 German boots from Dragon. I'm assuming Dragon is a 1/6 military company. They look good on Ned so hopefully they will have the same effect on Jon... I'll have to hunt a pair down.

I need to get a closer look, but those look like they may be DID (Dragon in Dreams - different company) German Officer boots. If so, they can work, but you loose some crumple detail around the ankle and they're not as pointy or as flat toward the top and front of the foot.

German Officer boots are what Han Solo wears in Star Wars. I bought 3 pairs last year and chose one (similar from DAM), selling the other two and the original Hot Toys version they'll replace.

Hi, guys. That's my Ned figure. I used Dragon (DML) plastic boots which I repainted. DID makes leather jackboots for their German WW2 figures which would also work. And the DID variety have a more pointed toe, if that is the look you are after. The Dragon boots go for about 5.00 US loose. DID are double to triple because they are leather and not molded.

I honestly don't care about the boots that much, although if there's a cheap alternative and it's an easy swap, I'll change 'em. I'm most concerned about the head sculpt and paint. I'm guessing this guy will need a repaint if he's gonna hold his own against Hot Toys figures, but I hope the sculpt is strong. Curious to see it in person. I've been feeling lukewarm about all the photos we've seen of him.

While I think the factory paint is Ok, I did a repaint and I think the figure benefits from it. His giant boots annoyed me.
