The finale wasn't a good as I hoped for !
I noticed that the scenes with Kelly seemed rushed when they were filmed.
It felt like maybe one take or maybe two were taken and that's it!

I can't believe some are saying this series was better than Evil Dead 2...no way! Ash was much cooler then,now he is just deuche Ash

The best Episode of this series was the first episode directed by Raimi....Season 2 needs more Raimi

Me too. Even though I thought the season as a whole was uneven, the last three episodes were terrific. I LMAO hard as the finale ended since it was so absurd and typical of Ash.

Freddy's glove was there in EDII so it's not an easter egg but part of the accurate re-creation.

Lol. Yeah, I remember reading in the book "If Chins Could Kill," there being a back and forth of homages to each other's movies between Sam Raimi and Wes Craven. Still, I was impressed by the attention to detail.

I thought 1, 2, 3 and the very last episode were all really good. The first three did a good job setting things up and introducing new elements into the fray, and the last really recaptured the crazy over the top stuff and had a great setting in the cabin but everything in between like the Brujo's house, and the Doomsday Preppers felt like straight filler. Would have cut the season to 5 really solid episodes myself to tighten it up but hopefully it'll pick up next season. Nothing on Starz is particularly well known for it's writing so much as being more of a grindhouse style of show making. Lot of reliance on ott violence, nudity etc.

I just finished watching this show (thanks to Amazon Prime for adding a Starz add-on channel), and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Clearly, this is Army of Darkness Ash, and not Ash from Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2. But I like Army of Darkness. And sure, not every episode is equally good, but overall I think most episodes were good. Finale was fantastic, with all the over the top gore, creepy monsters, great camera gimmicks, and sets up a potentially interesting season 2. This was an Army of Darkness Ash-type ending. I look forward to seeing more.

I know this had some dull episodes but i loved the overall season. I loved watching this.

the dull episodes are not as bad as other shows out there right now. this was a lot of fun. it was funny and cool

im pretty excited for the new season

Yeah, I'd say 30% of the first season was rock solid and entertaining. But the rest felt like a chore. I guess it needs to find it's "voice" first, or maybe just a consistent good director.
