Is there s better way to attach photos? I can never open pictures I post unless I'm on my laptop.

I had not planned on buying any HT TFA figures. But I think this one may change my mind.

Likewise. Hell I think that's the case for a lot of people after seeing the film. I already PO'd the BB-8 set immediately after getting back home from the cinema. :lol

Yeah seeing it changed my mind for sure. I still need to be selective so this may be the only TFA I get. Kylo Ren and Finn are a possibility. Gotta stick to core characters. I don't want to get wrapped up in the troopers for sure. And I still want several of the ANH releases.

You aren't the only one.

I absolutely loved the movie. It might be on par with Empire Strikes Back for me. I mean, I kinda like the prequels too, even being subpar in a lot of respects, but Lucas tainted SW in general for me for nearly ten years, what with the continuous alterations to the original films.

Anyway, I boxed up a handful of smaller scale figures to make room for the Kylo Ren and Rey w/ Bb-8 set I preordered last night.

This ****ing hobby... -_-

I'm trying to be very selective on what I pick up from this line but there is just no way I can pass up Rey and bb-8. They were both great even if I do think Rey grasped her powers way to quickly. I'm not to crazy about the sculpt, it's ok but I will probly display her with the sand gear, which looks incredible, and I loved how she was scraping a living from salvaging parts from wrecked star destroyers, really looking forward to this set!

That's my plan as well, I don't want to get swamped by Trooper variants and I only need core characters. I might hold off on getting Kylo Ren until HT releases one with an Adam Driver sculpt though. Finn I'm still considering since I'm not sure if I'm fine with the current one or if I'll wait until the next film. So far I might only get Rey and BB-8, I just love the scavenger/desert theme of her design.

Having recently checked the prequels again, I actually didn't find them to be as grating as I remembered them. I think I even have a newfound liking for ROTS and I'd absolutely kill for a HT Anakin or Grievous.

Sure they had problems, but I think what really bothered me more than anything was how much Lucas kept changing the OT so nonchalantly. Some changes were okay (such as fine-tuning the lightsaber sfx/sound) but the more he kept tampering with certain key scenes (Vader's random "NOOOOOO!") I felt like a part of my soul just died.

Haha! Honestly I need to start doing this as well. I already have Marvel stuff on PO for a while now (Ultron being an obvious shelf presence) and while I'm kind of happy that I ended up loving the new movie, it also pains me to know that I'll succumb to getting the figures as well. :lol

In the movie, the force, the Jedi, even Luke, are like legends or myths. When Rey hears they are true, and that the force is real, that's one thing, but finding latent powers herself most likely promted her to try things not everyone would if they suddenly were told they had force abilities. It would be easy to imagine that she had heard many stories over the years about what the Jedi were meant to have been capable of but never believed them.
Then she suddenly realises one small facet of her power and that opens her up to trying more things. Finally, when Ren tells her he can teach her about the force, it all clicks and she draws the power in.

Good post! This is pretty much how I saw it. Loved the character of Rey, though I wish the fight ended in a standoff, with Kylo and Rey on opposite sides of the trench. Would've set up nicely for a rematch to see who would win. Though now Kylo will immerse in the dark side to get revenge.

Ya I get what you're saying and that's how I try and justify it with myself too, but it just happens a little to fast for my taste. It's nothing that ruins the movie or character for me tho, she is clearly an amazing person before you even find out that she is force sensitive, so it makes it more believable that she could figure out her powers quickly in a life or death situation. Great character and I loved Bb-8 too.

Only tempted by this because it comes with BB-8. Basically a two-pack.

Would love to know more about what BB-8 does in terms of the "magnetic miracle" HT has employed. Has B.Stark posted a vid yet?
