Nice pics, this did turn out looking really good. Black bat is nice but those classic colors look so iconic. If sideshow produces a Robin to match I'll kick myself in the ass for canceling my PO, or I'll just go find it.

One thing I like about the modern version is the smaller profile of the utility belt. It makes the belt on the black/gray version look overly bulky.

So both portraits on the modern version are left-facing? That's a drawback for me, as my preference on the black/gray is the front-facing portrait.

I preferred that head too but the statue is made to be seen from the front/side angle anyway. The "hero angle", they call it.

I also got both and they are both equally impressive. For all those of you that are very picky on how you want your Batman, well here he is. With all these other Batman PFs that are coming, who knows when they'll make another 1 like this.

While I like the sculpts with neck movement as they make the stance a bit more dynamic, my only nit is that SSC's seem to not have in mind the possiblity of having their Batman line displayed side-by-side without making them like they're all looking at one thing. I wish the Batman's pose was mirrored, so he could look very good posed back-to-back with their Joker PF like their Joker and Batman lifesize busts. Joker, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Bats are all looking to their left. It works well for their JLA line so far though.

I just wish Sideshow plans to make a Frank Miller The Dark Knight Returns PF. If that happens, I can already see 2 variants from the same mold: one black and grey, and one blue and grey with yellow bat emblem and new hand with sniper grapple gun.

This is the photo that finally put me back over the edge.

I had this Pre ordered before but backed out when the SDCC pictures came out. SSC was nice and let me move my NRD to another item I already had on order. But here we are and he looks great. Question is... Do I keep both or sell the black one off??? I have Prime 1 Noel coming so I am thinking of displaying him in the middle and have Grey Batman and Joker on one side and Blue Batman and Superman on the other.
