I was worried this new cinematic universe was going to overshadow Nolan's trilogy and make people for get about it, but from the looks of it, this universe is so different from TDKT that both versions can easily coexist. Batman saying one liners and fighting a big CGI monster is unique and different...but not necessarily better, same goes for Letoker.

I didn't think the humor worked in The Avengers at all, and TWS had a ton of jokes. Iron Man did it best in my opinion, the jokes really worked because they didn't feel out of place coming out of Stark's cocky arrogant self at the time.

I thought the Humor was good in the Avengers... Stark was great.... "that guy is playing Galaga" I am talking the original. I can't think of any misfires... Hulk humor was always done well. I have not watched it in a year. AOU was all bad for the most part.

Has anyone else heard that this Lex in BVS is supposed to be Luthor's son??? If so I think we can let go of the "that's not Luthor" argument... Perhaps the end of his son is why Luthor will hate Superman so much.

In retrospect, I think the Avengers is a bit overrated. It's good. Very entertaining. The humor worked fine. But, not quite the unmitigated superhero masterpiece that its reputation says. It's actually a pretty shallow, lighthearted story. Fun, but lacking the depth of better superhero movies. I'm hoping BvS has a bit more depth.

I read that. Then again, I also read a lengthy, contorted, obnoxious article that said Affleck was playing Slade Wilson, and Christian Bale was still Wayne in the BvS universe. Heh. If he is Lex Jr., it does raise the question of what happened to the actual Luthor. Superman just arrived ... and he's facing the son rather than the father? It'd be a damn shame if this version of Superman skipped over his biggest rival.

I want Bat Vigilante to remove a pair of glasses, JP-style, right after Doomsday lands.

I read that he's supposed to be Luthor Jr... Luthor Senior being Lionel, obviously.

Is there a rumor of him being the son of LEX Luthor or something? :slap

And, I'm not totally sold on Doomsday's look. It's not awful. It's just a bit too Abomination-looking. Maybe I'll change my mind, though.

Didn't people joke that Abomination looked like Doomsday? :lol

Doomsday looks like comic Doomsday just without all the bone protrusions.

In the comic, doesn't he grow them after taking damage?

I'm expecting near the end of the fight he will have all the bony goodness.

Lionel Luthor is a nobody except to Smallville fans. There wouldn't need to be a rumor about Lex being his son. And, the son of Lionel wouldn't be a "Jr.". He'd just be "Lex". The rumor was that this was Lex Jr. (or Alexander Luthor) ... the son of Lex Sr., President Baldy.

Goddamn, that second picture does look a lot better.

Being one of the people that complained about Nolan's Batman, and mopey Hopeman, I guess this is what I asked for. Sorry everybody! :lol :wave

Afflect is kind of out of character. He is supposed to act like a play boy. Seem he is a little too serious. Maybe they already know who each other is by then.

Oh right :slap I forgot how Jr works :lol

I see, so there is that rumor... But then... this Jr. character seems to be kinda of unnecessary.
