Hot Toys 1/4 prospects? A wishlist?

Pfft, it'd be nice if we actually got to see the Police Shootout Arnold and Batman Returns Batman that they supposedly had planned/were working on. Then I'd start dreaming.

If you're an Iron Man or Star Wars fan, your dreams can be a reality!

there is one option missing:

"Anything not Iron Man related"

and it will be a winner of the poll.

i myself would like predators, because
a) Hot Toys will make themin 1/5 scale instead of 1/4 (like their skeleton)
and b) they will be too short for predators size
so in the end HT 1/4 predators will have proper 1/6 scale :lol
LOL

Interesting that only one character is performing less well than Iron Man right now and that's probably due only to his size and likely cost if made.

Yeah Mr. Green is clearly lagging behind and you are probably right. He would be gigantic and expensive. Most collectors are having a hard enough time finding space for an 18" figure and he would be considerably bigger. Plus there is not much that you could give him in terms of accessories. He would have to come with Banner included, 2 or 3 Hulk headsculpts and a nice diorama base.

NECA are doing a 1:4 Hulk if I'm not mistaken. For me, a 1:6 version is quite big enough.

Actually just thinking, if this thread had been started in the Marvel section, Iron Man and the other MCU properties would have much higher numbers of voters making it comparable to a hypothetical poll on a chinese forum. Not everyone on SSF visits the General Collectibles section.

Yeah NECA has one in the works that looked pretty good. I display my 1:6 version with my other 1:4 figures and I like it. Keeping any eye out for that NECA figure though.

I didn't want to make it a Marvel list.. But when I was coming up with names it seems that Marvel is Hot Toys hottest license. I wish that the poll could have included 20 items because I ended up adding some pretty good names in the list on post 1.

I wouldn't have wanted it to be yet another Marvel-dominated poll myself, only making the point that it likely would be if the full spectrum of Hot Toys collectors on this site were seeing the poll.

Oh.. Yeah, you are right. Those Iron Man numbers would be through the roof! Lol

It's a shame Enterbay have quit doing their 1/4 scale figures. HT are much more focussed on their 1/6th scale, which is probably because space is hard to come by in Hong Kong and other Asian countries. I doubt there would be too many Asian collectors wanting 1/4.

Yes I keep waiting for Enterbay to announce something new in 1/4 but sadly the only thing they are making are 1/6 scale NBA figures. I have their BD Terminator which I love as well as the 1/4 Michael Jordan. I heard that Hot Toys bought up the 1/4 licenses which basically forced Enterbay out if the market. I don't know if this is true though.

I'm a Stallone fan so I would love to see 1/4 for Rocky, Rambo, Cobra and Creed.

1/4 Don Vito ( Brando Ver. ) would be a dream come true for me. Highly unlikely to ever happen ever but I'd love a Fast Eddie Felson from The Hustler or Lucas Jackson from Cool Hand Luke.

Now that there will be 1/4 bodies available hopefully this opens the door for getting some custom figures.

Wow, I didn't know about this. I hope they're better constructed than the Enterbay T-800 bodies, I'd consider buying one as a replacement for the inevitable breakage next time I try to repose my EB Clean T-800. Although bulk (or lack thereof) could be an issue. Maybe I'd buy one as a standby for the T-1000 aswell.

What's that 1:6 body, that from COO aswell? Looks pretty good.

Only thing I would want 1:4 scale is a Spiderman, not that I want that, but would have to buy it if it was made:lol

i dunno about replacing 1/4 EB with 1/4 HT... do you recognise the proportions above? remember endoskeleton next to EB?

I said earlier tonight in the Marvel section that an Iron Man armour was probably the only figure I'd consider at that scale because of the shear amount of detail and I suppose mechanical type figures hide some of the drawbacks of a figure over a statue..

But, who am I kidding. If Hot Toys can nail Tom's sculpt, than Loki in full get up = must have...

In my own mind I have convinced myself that Loki will be the next announced figure. This is based on have no evidence at all LOL
