If you're not bothered with flashing lights and heavy breathing it doesn't look like a fuss at all. Otherwise, yes it does look like a very frustrating figure!

I certainly won't be using the voice or lightsabre feature (belt boxes only). Having to remove head, cape, tunic and suit to turn the switch on is idiotic and not worth the effort. Gotta agree with my fookin' brutha on that!

I wonder how easy it would be to remove the electronics from the body and put them into the stands ourselves??? It looks like the lower back section just unscrews from the back. Any thoughts???

I might check out the saber, once, but don't intend to leave it there. It was easy enough on Kenobi since he has the loose clothing, but even with hi,m now that it's on there I'm too lazy to take it off, plus he looks good holding the saber.

The other electronics I won't even bother with unless I ever undress him fully.

Naw.... hang in there and be patient if you have another Vader already to hold you over. I'm tempted too with all the great pics, and if I was only buying Vader this time of year I might go for it, but after Han, Chewie, Luke, ST Luke, Kenobi, Leia, 3P0 and Thor all within the same time frame Vader right now is not in the cards. Also, I prefer the ESB/ROTJ look, so I'll plan to just hold onto my SS and wait to upgrade Vader when HT does that version.

Speaking of SS, I still haven't seen any side by side pics - although maybe seeing those aren't a good idea if I want to hold out on getting it

They're in this thread some pages back, but I don't recommend you go looking if you're trying to hold off from upgrading.

I looked back a bunch of pages and the only side by side pics I saw were from James the Cat but I think that was with a custom not Sideshow's ESB/ROTJ version

I'm not hoping SS will "still look good" after seeing it next to HT, I'm actually routing for progress and for the HT one to look better even if I hold off and wait for HotToys to do a ESB or ROTJ version. I am sure this HT Vader does look better (glove aside- that's really killing it for me), I'm just curious about how much better and it's hard to tell that without a side by side view under the same lighting and camera conditions.

I can't say there is no temptation to get it, hey and who knows, I've caved before on things I was trying to hold off buying. But I've also managed not to cave and to appreciate figures I don't buy from a far through photos and appreciate how 1/6 figures keep getting better by seeing comparison shots of things I don't have. I still like my SS Vader, I don't think it is so bad that I can't live with it a while longer. My feeling is if the HT ANH one is a lot better, just think how good the next Vader will be after they take a second crack at it. I think that might help me wait more than anything.

I think the biggest temptation for me is to fall in love with the specific ANH look and want to get this to pose with my new HT Kenobi - If I gave in I would end up with two Vaders one day upgrading my SS one for a HT ESB/ROTJ version too.
