Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings no NOV code yet

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings no NOV code yet

Guess I'll use my points across a couple of figures. That still depends on black friday or christmas sales. Otherwise they'll sit there until next spook. lol

Do you have a ton of points? Taking into account the $20 off codes, it still seems like it's best to use all the points on one figure to maximize their value.

Still waiting to order Kylo Ren, hopefully he will be eligible with the next code.

I only have $140 in points. The twenty dollar codes barely cover shipping now so it doesn't even affect pricing anymore. Sadly, spook was so lame we never got anywhere near 20 to 30% off. That combined with $75 in points and suddenly you're getting a figure for just over a hundred. So I'll wait out bigger sales and if they never come oh well.

Yeah I hear ya. You're in the US?

I just meant that if you imagine you're buying two $200 figures, it makes more sense to put all your $140 of RPs onto one figure, so you then get it for $60 and use a $20 coupon on the other $200 figure so you get it for $180--so that's $240 total that you've spent.

But if you just put the $70 RPs on each one you're paying $130 per figure, which is $260 total. It's all about making the RPs go as far as they can. :)

I tried to save up enough to get a figure for free, but caved when the Luke Stormtrooper was revealed and ended up getting it for around $70 shipped. Still pretty sweet.

Seriously. What has been up with shipping charges going up so high. I was about to pre-order the First Order Stormtrooper and saw shipping was over $18. While the new Keaton Batman is still only $10 to ship. It's not like the Storm Trooper is weighed down with tons of accessories.

Some get a flat-rate fee of $10 (unclear how that decision is made), but most recent pre-orders seem to be moving away from that and going with calculated shipping (which is pricier for everyone, even those 10 minutes away from Sideshow).
