finally acquired Namek Goku, dude had 1 for $140 & was accepting Best Offers, I offered him $110 & he accepted!

Nice! That was the rate he was going for on eBay originally during comic con week and steadily been climbing up since.

I think it's just that whole ocd thing about it being complete and having the name of the figure on the box, so people see it as part of the figure itself. However, I just have a huge stack of those brown boxes in the corner of my room .. I cared about it before, but after missing one potentially, I kind of don't care anymore lol

According to Bluefin, whether or not a Figuarts Dragonball toy has a shipper depends on the factory of where the toys are being manufactured. The Japanese release of Ultimate Gohan have the brown shipper boxes, while the US version doesn't. It's in one of those Visitor Posts dated Oct 11 or 12.

Anyway, seems like next year will be a great Figuarts Dragonball year!

Ugh...my friend bought a few too many Hot Toys Iron Man figures last weekend and told me that he's cancelling the Golden Frieza figure which is included in my order. Spoke with nippon-yasan and they refused to do a partial cancellation for me so now i am forced to buy the 2nd Golden Frieza. They said it was either I cancel my entire order and re-order the items again or I just buy all the items in my order as is. I am never going to help a friend save on shipping with nippon-yasan!

He doesn't need it. The whole premium color editions are just an excuse for Tamashii to re-issue Trunks & SS Vegeta due to high demand.

I wouldn't count on it and I pray they don't. He's fine the way he is. The repaints gotta stop here with Cell and SSJ3. I don't wanna be flooded with unnecessary PC figures like the Androids and Frieza either. They take up precious release spots that could go to new figures.

Add to it that we already got a repaint with SDCC Vegeta.

Is it bad the first thing I now worry about is how this affects sdcc? Making repaints into "normal" releases means if there is an sdcc it will be a retool now, which isnt good honestly.

Well, I think maybe a saving grace is that the premium colors are just different paint "styles" of previously released color schemes... it's not like manga-to-anime conversions or anything. So, SDCC could still go along with previous themes of having previously unreleased color schemes... hope that made sense. For whatever reason, I'm having a hard time putting my thoughts into words.

I would assume they do given that they're technically "new" figures. They're not exactly re-releases like the three manga figures which never cut into the release schedules.
