I have the custom one and am completely satisfied by it. In hand, it's fantastic. Pictures of this one look awesome as well and hope the production piece is just as great so this who missed the custom release can enjoy some Scottish Highlander ;) on their shelves as well. No need for us all to have a **** measuring contest. I wouldn't mind KP coming out with some other certain Highlander guys as well lol.

ill probably buy this , get a trueType body and slap a iminime Wallace head on it

Looks great to me. I have the Iminime, but will probably pick up the deluxe version. I had clicked on hoping to see Connor MacLeod though. I would definitely be interested in that line.

Glad I don't do customs...Id be so pissed to have wasted all that money :)

The money wasn't wasted, all of us who bought it understood what we paid for. This is also a custom just made by a different artist. My money was spent ages ago and I don't regret it, I hope people enjoy whichever one they can afford.

The money for a beautiful hobby are never EVER wasted!! :)

But why was it a waste? That figure has real leather as well as a brilliantly hand crafted sword and shield as well as two different beautiful sculpts. Just because you felt it wasn't worth it, plenty of us did. I'm not saying this one doesn't look awesome cause it does, but there the other one wasn't a waste at all. Worth every penny.

I agree! I have the custom. There is nothing to be "pissed" about. I love it and love having it.

Thread subscribed! I couldn't afford the fantastic freedom warrior figure but I am really hoping to be able to get this one.

Any advice on the best place to preorder?

The gauntlet isn't listed in the blister pack list but it's in the picture with the blister pack items. It's also listed as a deluxe only item. Which is the mistake?

I feel so bad for custom's peeps they spent a ton on this custom.

I like the custom figure, but knowing me, if I knew the KP would turn out like this, I might have went the head sculpt only route, & plonked it on this, only because I only have so much money to spend on this hobby. No offense to KP's head sculpt effort, it's nice also. That alternate hair piece is a cool idea.

Not sure how accurate they look, but I like the idea of fabric boots. Also, I think the tunic pattern/colour could be more accurate as well. I would really like some tweaks to the tunic. Get some colour in there, it's looking too much like the muddy monotone colour of the custom as it is right now.

Like this:

This box comes with KP04 body.
It features 8 hands and two DIFFERENT arms.
One pairs of double elbow arms and one pair of muscular arms (similar to ht ttm19 style)
;)
Nice :clap

Whist another version of Wallace is to be welcomed (and this looks to be of good quality at what will, no doubt, be a very reasonable price), I do wonder why it has to be a near identical lift off the Iminime version though, even so far as to the exact same inaccuracies in the colour scheme and the the war vest. Why not go for a different head sculpt selection rather than one that is obviously going to draw direct comparison to another companies previous release? it's almost as if someone sat down and studied the Freedom Warrior figure rather than the actual source material.

It truly ticks me off when people seemingly take pleasure in gleefully celebrating when collectors have "wasted" their money on expensive customs or paid too much in the secondary. I have the Iminime, which is still in the box. I can't recall what it ran, maybe around $600 or so. It is a phenomenal piece with two amazing head sculpts and high end tailoring. I can't compare it to the KP of course, but that's beside the point as to which one may or may not be "better". I plan on getting the KP. Maybe I'll have two, maybe I'll put it on a bigger body and end up with Harnish plus Wallace with multiple head sculpts. It's too early to tell.

Whether its licensed mass produced figures from the major companies or unlicensed customs, the fact is this is an ever changing and ever evolving hobby and there is always going to be something newer on the horizon. This is no different than the folks who paid thousands in the secondary for Rainman's Blondie, Tuco or Angel Eyes, and then saw the Iminime releases a few years later being offered for 1/4 what those were typically going for. Similarly, I recall when Hot Toys Iron Man MKI was going for over $1k. Then they released the improved MK-I 2.0 for a little more than $200. Or when HT picked up the BTTF license and released Marty McFly I think the HT Leonidas goes for $450+ these days, but now Star Ace has a new line coming, that will presumably be at the $200 mark. There are literally dozens and dozens of examples. Try chasing a Heath Ledger Joker and thinking you'll have the ultimate version for all time. If you are collecting 1/6 for the investment you are probably in the wrong hobby. The bottom will either drop out of the market or things will cool down significantly in the next 5 or so years just like it has with just about every category proceeding. It you are too afraid to buy because "maybe" a newer or better version will be produced a year or two dozen the road, then you are probably always going to be nervously waiting around.

Sure when I first clicked this on -- and after being let down that it wasn't the Connor MacLeod "Highlander" -- my initial reaction was "WTF is that a cheaper version of Braveheart that I got last year?" But I certainly didn't roll up in a ball and start wailing and cursing the 1/6 gods about wasting my money. Mostly what I thought was: "how can this supplement what I have" and "wow this looks great, I hope KP makes Achilles and Hector from TROY."

I probably have a few thousand dollars out there in the nebulous land of in-progress commissions and bashing pieces trying to shape the collection and get favorite characters represented in high quality. It is, by definition, a never ending work in progress. Along the way there are going to be pieces that supplant what I have and I might take a loss if I decide to sell. There are also going to be other pieces that pleasantly augment the collection or finally let me pick up pieces without paying high secondary pricing and/or don't have some of the production quality or likeness issues. I'd really to see new and improved versions of pieces like Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Aliens, Davy Jones, Edward Scissorhands, Rocky, Ivan Drago, etc. So it all can work both ways. Just be happy that right now the hobby is at a point where there are more options and opportunities to get high quality 1/6 figures of iconic characters.

Edit: I have to check to see if my Iminime screaming head is war painted. If not all the more reason to pick this up. If so, I might have the Iminime remained non-war and get this one bloodied up. Looks like the Harnish head might need a little more work in the likeness department to match Brendan Gleesan. I also like the war hammer. More weapons is always a good thing.
