That looks awesome - and the heights look pretty close to right there.

Interesting. I've hear Tamashii 3PO is one of the worst 3POs out there in hand in terms of appearance compared to some of the other offerings. Is it true?

Only to pixelpiper. :lol

To everyone else, it's the best threepio that will likely never be bettered.

It has a few issues - the much-maligned thick elbow pistons, slightly oversized feet and a too-thin neck - but overall it's very accurate, especially the headsculpt (which the otherwise very nice SSC figure has bungled with a Leno chin.)

But... Let me say this. If someone breaks into your house in the middle of the night and you don't have 10 baseball bats and a few swords hidden around the house like I do, you'll be happy to pick up that Tama 3PO and knock someone right out.

As far as Likeness and representation of the figure, Medicom's is also very nice but very under-scaled. I'm sure Sideshow's is going to be a stellar figure and when Hot Toys does a version it's probably going to be pretty great as well. Unless HT does die-cast, the Tama will be the heaviest and will always feel the best in hand, even if it doesn't look the best. Weathering can greatly improve the appearance and help to take your eyes off the many inaccuracies.

FANTASTIC pictures, guys? Cheers!

It's not a thousand people each remarking on its inaccuracies once, it's Pixel remarking on its inaccuracies a thousand times. It's a great figure and to date unquestionably the best available.

Which is one of the reasons I have it, but I give no figure an easy pass. He is no more accurate than any other release of any figure from HT or Sideshow, and that's the plain and naked truth.

Some companies are less accurate than others though. The Tamashii is a good figure. Can't comment on SSC yet, as it has not been released. It is not the worst out there.

I would've picked him up but too many preorders, when he was released and 300 credits is a lot. The joke's on us hot toys will charge same with diecast 4 price bump , but with thier paint n weathering non shiney look or both version's to milk n release. So bet on a few 3po's

:lol, ok, fessing up, I just ordered my Tamashii 3PO yesterday. Was hoping to get a cheap bunch of great testimonials about how great he is while I wait!

This Pixelpiper you all speak of... Who is he? Sounds like a great guy.

It's ****ing boring though Pixel, we've heard it a thousand times, enough already :lol

What QUI GON ? and miss the Eventual hot toys 2 pack r2 & 3po boxset ?:cuckoo: Pix may be harsh like other's but just a good O.T fan" and without the constant scrutinizing or critique or comments we still be collecting 3/4 inch fig's at local toys r us. I could never appreciate after moving on up to 1/6. lol :lol
