Well, she has arrived in all her glory! I mean spectacular, dynamic, excellently made glory!!! From the time one receives an XM box till you completely put the statue together and take in all its heft and solidity and excellent QC, and phenomenal print w/coin (nah nah nah nah nah) and presence...it is unlike any statue you have ever owned.

It doesn't get any better than this! Period! When one receives an XM statue like Phoenix, or Magneto, or Hawkeye, or just about anyone else....it's really, really, hard to even want to attempt to buy from any other company. Sorry to burst some people's bubbles, but that's just simply how it is. It is unfortunate that XM is region specific and hard to get, because once you experience an XM piece...you will not want to go back to anything else. It has gotten so bad with me specifically, that I have just about dumped (that's too harsh a term...how about stopped) every other company's product. It has to take something quite astounding like Lobo or Red Sonja for me to even begin to think about buying something from some other company.

Anyways, enough of my rambling. I just wanted to post a few pics up of this lovely statue and give it the LORIC SCORE! So without further ado:

Presentation = 10
Pose (dynamism) = 10
Paint App = 9.8 (due to a small red smidge on back part of windswept ear...hidden)
Extras = 10 (not much to add but extra heads...all of which look stellar)
Presence = 10

Overall = 9.95 / 10.

No statue is perfect...no statue...and as awesome as this is (makes Lobo from SS and Magneto from XM seem unnoticeable) there is still one thing in the engineering part of this statue that will take it a slight notch down from perfection and that is the pretty noticeable metal peg that plugs in from one part of the lower flame bird to the main hub part of the flame bird (see pic). Other than that...this is the most impressive statue I have ever owned. PERIOD! No debate, no nothing to discuss. THIS IS THE BEST STATUE I HAVE EVER OWNED!!

The print is awesome, each of the heads are just spectacular IMO (I have stated that from day one) and it is even truer in person, and it is very stable. The long metal rod XM placed in Jean's leg you can tell will stand the test of time. The statue comes in at a good 25lbs. give or take a lb. With mine, I have a very slight smudge of red on the back of the ear on the windswept head. I unfortunately have a pinhead chip on the lower part of the flame bird piece that thankfully is in the back. It can be seen up close with a camera, but not from a distance even as close as 2 feet. What's amazing is how seamless the connection of the wings are to the body of the Phoenix bird. That is exceptionally well done. The wings are very stable because in addition to magnets...it has a peg that plugs into the body of the bird as well. A double dose of stability aint a bad thing at all.

I am so confident that everyone else that either gets Phoenix or sees it in person, will love it without equal probably (depends on who your favorite character is actually...for me it's Thor). At the least, they will walk away not just impressed...but HIGHLY impressed...this statue is that DAMN GOOD!!! So here are the pics. No need for a video because I expect BMUTHA and / or Francois to do a video of this stellar piece. It is without equal in my collection so far...but that will change with the amount of awesome products yet to come from XM. It will only probably only be a bout 3 weeks for her to claim this spot until yep THE MAD TITAN comes stomping in ole Loric's apartment. Thanos.....oh how I can't wait for him and the lovely Ms. Marvel. Add to that I am getting the Xbox One Forza 1TB bundle tomorrow and it already feels like Christmas around here. Here are the pics for the final time.

The following pic shows the pinhead size chip (unfortunate for me)

This last pic is the only thing engineering or rather aesthetic wise I think could have been done better. The peg as you can see is clearly visible and I feel could have been placed lower in the bird so it is not visible, or it could have been painted a reddish orange color so it wouldn't be so pronounced. No one else that owns Phoenix has mentioned it, so it isn't a big deal per se (at least not to me), but it is there and can be seen from any distance. Well, live and learn right?

Awesome review and fantastic pics, loricstone. I was eager to see how she is packaged. Thanks and big congrats on this great piece !

The more I see her the more I want to get mine...

Awrsome! Congrats Loric. She looks great. Just think of the pin as debris pushed upward by the Phoenix.

Tamiya make a clear red and clear yellow acrylic paint that you might be able to get a mix of to hide that chip if XM won't replace

Just found the xm site from a cool member who posted it for me. And saw the xm phoenix head explanation on their site. It still doesn't look like the proto? Something still looks off clearly from the many posted earlier comparison pics. The face on the proto has better eyes and lips are better painted as well. The chip in the hair made a heck of a difference imo. If we chip off the tip of the top of her head the rest still don't look like the proto. I still wish for a proto head in the future. Those customizers can make so many insanely cool things. Just like that old man mags head.

Btw which do you all like better mags or phoenix if you can only afford one? Going by final product you like overall, and not rarity and aftermarket price. I'm thinking of buying one only and both is awesome but leaning towards phoenix. She seems to have more presence than magneto with the massive clear wings. Also I like this character better than magneto. Your thoughts if you can only afford 1 of these?

What a load of horse****. This stupid story again about how you just found the site??? This has been discussed to death on both boards in multiple threads and we all know you know the site and have been there many times.

Take a picture of your Wolverine in your collection and share it with the rest of us or you can't join the XM owners group you were about to get an invite to.
