I really like everything about this piece....except the pose. But another great effort from XM. If I had more access to these, I'd definitely be more tempted.

Can´t believe some guys talk about XM faces and have still SSC Brown Wolverine on PO.

Please tell me what facial expression this statue has. Determination? Nope. Intense focus? Nope.

I knw that some here wanna think I am hating on XM. I'm not. This is an area that I really think they need to improve on. They have so many AMAZING artists working for them I just don't get this facial expression. I hate to say it but I agree with the expression and face looking like a department store Manequinn, and that isn't the look you want on a high end collectible. Finally, just so there is no mistaking it I have the same issue with the SSC Emma Frost, and if I thought the Headsculpt on the brown Wolverine Was awesome I wouldn't have started to sculpt a new one within hours of the tease.

Ms. Marvel, Medusa, and now Elektra all have blank expressions. I'll be generous and say She-Hulk has a bit of expression because of her eyebrows so 3 of the 5 female 1/4 scale statues have had some personality. It wouldn't kill XM to give their female characters a little expression in their faces, especially if they're going to do several head sculpts for each.

I'd rather have a plain expression than one tacked on just to have the character "doing something". I don't need every character to have a furrowed brow or squinted eyes or a wry smile just for the sake of having it.

Someone post some pictures of all these expressions you'd like to see. I was looking at the Sucker punch statues, blank mostly. GG Black widow, blank. Lot's of Sideshow ones as well.

Every Headsculpt should tell a story. These are the coupe de grasse of the statue, and they SELL the attitude of the entire body sculpt. Say what you want about SSCs finish on their pieces, and god knows they deserve the criticism at times(god damn googly eyes), but the facial SCULPTS have character. Calm Jean, both Ms. Marvels, Medusa, and now this one for Elektra they are ALL blank slates. There is no soul to the character; unless you count 'stoned' or 'drugged' as soul.

The go-to sculpt is generally blank for most companies, but if you're going to include more than one HS then go nuts with the other ones to give some variety. Doesn't have to be an exaggerated expression, just a smirk, smile, frown, etc. I'd rather display a statue with some expression on the head sculpt than a dead blank stare. Hopefully there will be another HS for Elektra that has some personality to it.

7 of the 8 female PFs I have from SS have the same blank expression, but you make it clear with this comment, Spidey, that it's not really the expression you have a problem with then. I think the lack of differences in XM's facial structures of their female headsculpts is a more valid complaint than the one over the expressions.

Looks great to me, probably one of the best head sculpts and portraits that they've done so far. As far as expressionless, her squint is enough to tell me she has the eye of the tiger as she's looking towards her target.
