Right before I ordered the set, I also questioned whether or not Pepper was worth it. That was actually the biggest reason why I used $40 of my reward points. The way I saw it, the armor was worth $250 by itself, and using my points to bring the price down to $400 made the remaining cost ($150) a lot closer to what Pepper is worth to me. If the armor had been sold separately, I probably would have bought it and skipped Pepper entirely.

That's about what I'd want to pay for her as well. Think I'm gonna wait it out until the in-hand pics appear and see how the finished figure looks, in no rush to pre-order this atm, hopefully by then I'll have amassed some reward points to use.

I just want her in a business suit/skirt :lol

Ugh same. I honestly wanna try making an Iron Man 1 Pepper but that hair would be impossible to style.....least I think it'd be. XD I just think it's her best look but there's no ****ing way i'm going with that ugly knock off.

Well you could transplant the Maria hill figures hair and then paint it. Be pretty close. Not easy and a decent amount of work, but doable.

Thats the Pepper I wanted :love She was great in IM1

The moment I realized that I really loved Pepper was when she was all like "ooo what's that? Does it pick the lock?" Hahaha I thought it was adorable as hell. I wanna maybe attempt her assistant look really bad.

And the every subsequent movie I started liking her less and less...though I do wanna see her seriously don the Rescue suit someday.

To me the 'civilian' style figures with no extras that "complete a movie line" should be about Bruce Banner price. This Pepper does have the armour extras, so that makes it more attractive as a figure to me (although I won't be getting it) .. Those sorts of figures I'd be wanting to pay under 230-250 NZ (or Aus) $, preferably 200.... $300NZ+ is more what I'd rather spend on the likes of Cap AoU... and $400+ it better be a d/c Iron Man or DX line Terminator, lol...

I'm still planning to PO this one, but haven't pulled the trigger yet due to the lackluster likeness. With the great roll HT was on with female likenesses (Gamora, Scarlet Witch, Maria Hill) this just doesn't look like Pepper Potts. It's certainly a nice looking generic blonde female head sculpt, but it's the type of which you'd see from Kumik. That's not to say that Gwyneth Paltrow is an easy likeness to capture. She has a defined jawline, pronounced cheekbones, a rather distinct eye shape, and her lips have a slight curl at the ends. I'm not sure if HT gave up on gave up on this or is continuing to work at it. Hopefully it's the latter.

Edit: Actually I believe the cheekbones is the main problem. A slight tweak seems to make a nice difference at least to me.

They could also heavy up the makeup around the eyes and shade the cheekbones a little more.

WHy do so many of the female HT figures have a deer-in-headlights look? The productions pieces look even worse. I am afraid to buy Pepper and Scarlet Witch because of this. The Black Widows had the same issues, so did Catwoman. At least with Catwoman you could cover them with the goggles.
