Just got my Maul a couple of days ago. I was a little freaked out by reviews, but its exactly what I expected, a great figure. It looked like crap in the box, but after a little adjustment it was fine. Oh yeah, and my first post here.

Welcome to the boards and nice pictures! Also, love the name... I used to play that game a lot on my old NES :rock

Did you "stuff" him with tissue paper to make it look that good or is that simply futzing with the clothing? Either way, he looks outstanding.

Still don't think that the Medi Maul is so superior to SSC version to justify 3X the price. But, I must admit, Medi's face looks much more evil than Sideshows. And the cloak is perfect. But, I will just have to be happy with my Medi Fetts and ROTJ Vader.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

To answer the question, I mostly just adjusted the belt and robes to get him to look right. I did add a small foam pad on top of his shoulders, but it is very small and I don't think it is really needed. Out of the box the collar was too low and the belt was too high, but the reviews about the skinny neck don't make sense to me. With 5 minutes of effort all the problems can be fixed. For what ever reason Medicom just did a sloppy job of assembling and packaging the figure.

I think the reviews of the neck are pretty on. Some basic clothing futzing can help it, but some poses will also result in the costume not looking right as it's adjusted to compensate for the neck. It's a cool figure, but like any, has it's high and low points.

I will second that. The issues are there no matter how much some folks want you to believe its perfect. Just as if you really want to pick apart the SS version has its issues. The Medicom Maul is a solid figure as far as it looks cool but does have its highs and lows.
