The reality of things is that it doesn't matter what Mattel does, there will be people on both sides of the fence,
so, I'll just wait for the proto and see what happens... Not sure how much effect will the .org poll actually have. If it were anything "official", it should probably be at Matty's website.

Just seen on the Matty site that the SDCC exclusives are on sale today. I'm hoping to score a couple of the Hover Robot packs

Thought I'd let people know because usually I get an email reminder from Matty about things going on sale but nothing this time :dunno

That's right, I think they are lying, which would suggest AN OPINION. I really don't need to provide proof or anything to back up my OPINION. Mattel is a business, they are deceptive, and everything they say is generally a lie to coerce people into thinking a certain way, which ultimately leads to giving them money for an inferior product. You really haven't been paying attention for the past 8 years if you think otherwise, and Scott not being there anymore doesn't make it any less true. But again, I'll just call it an opinion for now. ;)

"They have come to the conclusion that the prototype shown is not able to be sold for 300 dollars."

You believe that, I don't, and I disagree with all your mumbo jumbo about it not making any business sense at $300. If Castle Grayskull can be sold for $250, Snake Mountain can sell for right around $300.

I want it the size it was shown, no bigger, no smaller. However, I know Mattel will make it smaller and I've already explained 10,000 times why I think they will, and it has nothing to do with the price or being able to display it. That was Mattel pretending to be transparent.

"But I don't place my wants as having more weight then anyone else. Just beucase I want it doesn't mean it's gonna work or should be done."

Is that what I'm doing? LOL!

It isn't just me who wants what I want. I am one of many who want the same things so, trying to paint me as selfish was not well played at all.

"Your trying to tell them how to spend their money"

I am?

"I belong to the org"

Yeah, pretty much. LOL!

Just becuase I have an account at the org means what? You said I posted other places...I have not. And just becuase I belong to one site doesn't mean much of anything. With that line of thinking I could look at 90% of the people that post here, where you are posting, and lump you in with them and state you LOVE everything and support Mattel and blah blah. Or is it not really right to lump you in with others just becuase you have an account? That's an idiotic line of thinking.

Yea, I get its your "opinion" they lied. But you post it publicly with no support of facts so it's everyone else's right to call you on it. And have an opinion about it, and you. Personally I find it pretty crappy behavior to call someone a liar based solely on opinion...becuase a lie has nothing to do with opinions. It's factual and evidence based. If all you have is an opinion they lied then you shouldn't go around calling people liars. You can disagree but calling someone a liar based on a feeling is just spitting bile with nothing to back it up.

As for what you think they lied about...I don't think you understand both what I said not what they said. It wouldn't matter if it cost 2 cents or 299 dollars to make snake mountain, if the company decides that the prototype can not be sold for 300 dollars and be worth it to them, then that's the truth for them. They didn't say it cost 150 for this and 50 for that and that means it's more then 300. They said they couldn't produce it and sell it for 300 dollars as it sits...becuase it's not worth it to them.

As for what I said about forcing opinions. Yes, that is what your doing. You started your post by calling them lies based solely on opinion. Stating you had no facts. And that they can make it and should make it for the price you want. Yes, that's forcing your opinion on them...telling them how to spend their money. But what I meant when I wrote in my previous post about opinions was beciase you made a comment that I (and others) had explained why they said what they did and becuase we wanted it smaller. So I made it clear that though I would prefer it to be larger, and I had the space to spare, doesn't mean I don't understand why Mattel is in the position it is and saying what it is.

They have come to the conclusion that they can not build it as sits for 300 dollars and it be worth their time and investment. They didn't say they couldn't make it. They didn't say it would cost any specific amount in raw materials and tooling and over head. They said, based on their business projections and models, that making it at 300 dollars didn't make it profitable enough for them to do it. Simple as that. But some how you seem to think that's not true. Unless you are in their minds you could not know. If the profit was 299 dollars and the cost to make was 1 dollar if they looked at and said its not worth it, FOR THEM to spend THEIR MONEY and THEIR TIME or if it was 200 dollars to produce and 100 dollar profit or whatever the numbers worked out to be the numbers themselves are irrelevant to the discussion (especially since you or I don't know them and it's not our money)...it's their choice. It's like calling someone a liar when they tell you their favorite color beciase you don't like it. They don't think it's worth it for them. How could you possible know otherwise?

We need to start a "Trolled by Kuwahara" support group.

For those who subbed quarterly for the 200x figures, when you log in to mattycollector.com under "My Subscriptions", do you see anything regarding your sub?

I mean, shouldn't there be an entry for it? How would I change my payment method for the sub if I want to?

It's still empty on mine.

Even better, let's call it: "The psycho-keyboard-warrior horror stories hour" or "the overly attached troll"
Each of us can post the most outrageous and ridiculous "facts" that he's posted here...

Are you serious? Do you not see how hypocritical this is?

Also, I think it's incredible that this is being completely ignored:

:banghead

Whatever you say man. At this point I can't be bothered even reading your responses anymore or playing this infinite loop game with you.

Just managed to get 2 of the Hover Robots :yess: I assumed they were going to be in early access, but I'm glad I was wrong :) Hopefully this means they've made a lot of them and are confident they should last a while. Don't want another Horde Trooper situation with a hard to get army builder.

Whoever programmed matty's website sucks! I keep trying to log in to check out but it keeps emptying my shopping cart for no reason. Can anyone help me order just 1 hover bots? I'll pay right away plus shipping. :(

Are you based in the UK or Europe? If so then I can do it, you'll probably get stung by customs for about £20 though :(

I'm in california. This is depressing. I've been trying to login to matty to checkout my order for 30 mins now but their website keeps emptying my shopping cart after I log in then I have to repeat all the steps again. I just want to order 1 set of the hover robots. :(

Sold out. LOL! Yeah right.

More like giving the resellers a chance to sell 'em at a mark up.

I'm sure they have PLENTY of them, to be sold again at a later date of course.

Maybe they'll be at PowerCon. Ha ha.

I passed on the Zoids. Not worth the $ plus shipping...all they are is a bunch of rehashed parts.Weapons are boring and just don't want to make the room for them.

They're not sold out though. Hover Robots are "almost gone" and the zoids are "no longer available".

I wasn't too impressed with the zoids either.

I missed out on them, too. But it is hard to believe they are really gone. If nothing else, I'll try for the CS stock down the road.
