does anyone know/remembber last year , when did SDCC Vegeta start going on sale on other websites online? was it the first day of SDCC like it is today or a few days later?

From what I read it was the week after.

However this isn't Arlian Vegeta. It is a bit more popular character.

yeah i know its more popular but you say a week later after SDCC started? was that the same with Piccolo?

100$ is too much for me. It's I just can't do it now. But I'm not as happy with the figure as most are.

Think I'd rather buy an extra awakened goku (do the ssj headswap and throw out that ugly manga one) and some other stuff.

That's upsetting to hear because wasn't this one of your top 5?

It was my nr1 desired release, but I still maintain he's NOT anime accurate. But also, my desire was a remoulded torso, not this, a proper belt, not this, a smirk, not this and nimbus, not this.

Having a better sash than the packaged one already, I can slap a sticker logo on my regular goku and all Id be bumbed over is the boots and a face and it being customised (which I kindof dislike). Still not worth this sdcc price to me I feel... Not if I could have two other figures (or effects etc) instead. On top of that we get awakened goku, which also has the clenching face, and nails the gi, and is incredible. I kinda rather buy an extra one of him I think.

I mean, I'd still like to have him probably but... also like... eventually he'd rise hugely in price and I'd be like... Kinda rather sell this and rank in the money...

Well I gave in and dropped $110 on him. I definitely need another but if I can't get it around $70 or less I'll stick with just one.

if no one would buy one at 110 they would lower the price . but people can't wait

That's exactly true. The sellers ask a price and we, the buyers set it by purchasing it. It's a vicious circle. It's our own fault really. If no one bought the figures, the scalpers would be forced to lower the prices until the market decides on a true fair price.

$100-110 for this figure isn't too bad considering he's the first re-sculpted figure and he's Goku in one of his most desired outfits AND he's anime accurate. MexiGoku doesn't help his price either...

It was your #1 release? Damn. What do you think isn't anime accurate, the sculpt, the paint, or both? I was hoping Tamashii would have put more detail into the Saiyan and Frieza Saga releases. The belt, the faces, and the gi. I'm not a big fan of the low "V" gi for older sagas. Android Saga and up I don't mind but I always remember Goku having a high "V' in the older sagas.

Awakened Goku is like the valium for this line. If you're upset and not satisfied with this or that Goku, Awakened Goku is there to make you feel better. :lol

Well it's interesting because I'm curious if Tamashii is going to produce a Manga colored version of Frieza Saga Goku. It just seems unusual that it'll be a convention exclusive only and not an "official" Tamashii exclusive.

I'm not trying to defend the scalpers but, to add to your point, this is also an SDCC Exclusive. ...Going to SDCC is not cheap, at all, so I'm not really upset about higher prices. Again, I'm not justifying scalpers but trying to get these for $45 would be a slap in the face to the collectors who go to SDCC to get the convention exclusive.

Edited: That's why I'm okay with Bluefin marking them up quite a bit on their website. It's not a ridiculous amount but it's also a respectable amount.

Yeah I'd rather not pay import fees....

I've been too reliant on my pre-orders with the imports where I really need to step back.

Ah well, you do what you do but I just can't bring myself to drop 110 on a figure that's not Broly-sized (and even then that's a bit much). If I can't snag him from bbts or such for around $70 then I'm gonna join Sil and just Branjita my reg Goku. Sad cause this was one of my top picks.

I do expect a premium on these figures. They're exclusives after all like you said and it does take some work to get them. I wasn't expecting double the price right from the get-go but if people are paying for it, then scalpers are gonna continue pricing it that way. If your gonna sell something you wanna get the most money for it obviously. If we buy the figures for high prices, the prices will stay high. Disclaimer: Not supporting or defending scalping, simply pointing out the basic economics behind it.

As far as the current price, I predict it'll even out below $100 as SDCC hype dies down. Couple months from now will begin the dreaded rise to the regular insane Figuarts prices we all know and hate.

We should all boycott eBay and refuse to buy the figures. Spread the word and watch the prices fall mwahahaha [emoji48]

Well thanks to Alex I scored(or anyone else who ordered from him) Awakening Goku for $42 and SSJ Vegeta re-color for $40.

I agree. The consumers who go to the convention buy the product and gain control of the supply and that allows them to set the prices while it's also the consumer's responsibility on whether or not they decide to give in to that price. I'm just saying that we, those who don't get the privilege of going to SDCC, should expect increased prices from the get-go. ...Just not $100+ like you mentioned though. :lol
