yeah it does seem a bit strange,as look at his FB page and he's happy showing the GOD but not this one, maybe that says it all ?

Probably, it's a shame what Bltizway did because this is still a very well sculpted statue that should be shown, but at least we get to see pictures of people's repaints. Which show us the true potential this statue has.

oh yes I agree, underneath the finish,it's a well sculpted statue, and had this and not the ''proto'' been shown then maybe the negatives may have been less.
the likes far outweigh the dislikes.so all in all I suppose the majority of owners are happy with it.

Oh for sure it would of been less, but those cuts and sweat paint apps are bad on any statue regardless of price. So while I agree there maybe less, you can sure bet that there would still be a lot of people complaining about those things.

I would agree with that as I would still like to own this piece but just can't pull the trigger because of the QC, amongst other things.

I'd say Arnie not publicly criticising this is more a reflection of his professionalism than anything else.
It shows courtesy and respect to the company that commissioned him and Shannon/Bruce Lee Enterprises who licensed the piece, despite his disappointment with the factory version.

He may also be conscious of deriding one company if it potentially meant precluding him working with another at some point. His silence on the piece probably speaks loudest on his private feelings on how it turned out.

If he does indeed drop out of the mass produced market it will certainly add more mystique and rarity to both the 1/3 GOD and ETD. I think if the ETD was repainted with meticulous attention to film reference for colour and cosmetic effects, you'd probably end up with a representation that won't be matched now or in the future.

Don't worry, he still has 3A and Asmus to join and then have a falling out with :)

maybe as he is the ceo of arnie kim studio since jan this year,he may get some painters onboard and possibly do a small number of bruce items,or the odd commission:dunno.either way after the two 1/3 statues anything less than 1/4 for me would be an easy pass.the 1.1 bust he is doing(WOTD)at the moment(but he has said he will try other hairstyles)looks very very impressive,i wonder if he will do a small run for the general public(I can see that being over 1K at the very least:horror)but I think it will be a personal piece unfourtunatly:(

Hmm good point.

I would agree with both sentences.

Chris, it will cost thousands, 1 K will buy you a figure from him if you are lucky (as he usually wants 2 k for one) but a 1:1 scale bust would cost at least 4 K! :horror

I was thinking if his company(although new) was to say make a run of a few hundred mass produced for the market(like blitzway did) then maybe it would cost that price, but like I said unless arnie is planning on producing for the market then yeah commissioned pieces are going to hit the 3-4k.
lucky for me ETD was my last buy.......that price is waaay beyond me.so these GOD socks wifey got me for fathers day will have to do:lol

Oh I see, and when you said general public you meant mass produced for everyone?

Congrats Chris, so they are a mixture of GOD colors yellow for the feet and black for the ankles, but the white area patten on the socks is a strange choice.

correct shoo :lol.and the black lines are eyebrows.got these and another top to go with my full wardrobe:)
maybe I should have shown them this way:lol

Nah weird would be when my underwear gets shown lol...back to the statue,it seems prices on both statues are creeping up.

Hi all! New to the thread!

Mine is getting delivered sometime today, massive Bruce Lee fan so i cant wait to open it. Will go straight to the top of my collection! Getting a bit nervous though reading some of the comments on this thread regarding the sweat and cuts etc.

hi and welcome buddy. I think that you will see quite quickly if your happy with the statue or not.peoples opinions will vary,so just see what you think.

Well....

I think it is absolutely amazing, I understand what people mean about the sweat "blobs" but I love it! Had it pre-ordered since September so I also got the Hans Claw which again is a really nice piece.
