Alien, Terminator, Night of the Hunter, and the Shining of course
Those movies, including the exorcist too... Bridge into multiple genres. The only one I'd agree with as a horror film is the shining, I guess i see Kubrik movies almost as Their own genre so I forget! The shining is the better film.
But terminator and alien are science fiction no doubt, I'd say they are close to horror or thrillers but they are mostly science fiction films so they don't count in my book.
Night of the hunter... No idea what it is. Have to check it out.
The first Halloween, the decent, lost boys (if you count it), Texas chainsaw massacre... Those are about the only other horror movies id consider good films. I may be forgetting a couple... And no of them are actually scary like the exorcist is scary. It's in a whole other league.
But I'm not really a fan of horror movies
I realize I firgot Hitchcock... Psycho etc... Again I sort of consider all of those more thrillers.. Obviously they are great.

How do you become a VIP member and is there any info on what time/day it goes up for gen public?
After you purchase three Full Set from Rainman you are eligible for VIP. There are no fees involved. Today the 26th at 8:00 PM PACIFIC TIME, on https://www.rainmanart.kr the open orders go live. You need to set up an account in order to make a purchase. In all honesty they will more than likely sell out in minutes so I would sit there refreshing your computer. Love those flicks but I agree, I can't consider Sci-Fi horror as true horror. The Exorcist, The Shining and the original Texas Chainsaw I consider to all be within the top 5 horror flicks of all time.
I'm sure that this will sell well at the end of it all, but it's obvious that it won't do it in record time. With the more popular releases like Bill V2, even VIP is sold out in an hour or less (sometimes 20 minutes or less).
This is a good release for new guys who want this to get their foot in the door and earn a notch in the belt towards VIP

I was under the impression there was only like 5 or 6 of us that wanted this figure Mike, the version 2 sold out? 20 pcs and Lee added 5 more? [emoji17]smh....
I guess some of us knew that some folks would have a change of heart when the protos dropped. Some guys are still out in the end also. But there are a good amount of his customers who frequently buy but don't chime in here much, so the traffic on these threads isn't always perfectly indicative of popularity. We also saw a few people who didn't post once pop in yesterday to say that they're in. Based on the genre and character I didn't really think it was going to blow out in seconds, but I don't think this will sit around too long either. Maybe the V1 will have a harder time disappearing but we'll see.
Whoever wants a DX or any set, PM me now... I'll order one, you then send me payment and I'll have it shipped to you. As a VIP, I can land one... here's the catch, there's a fee for me on top of that for me. Just sayin'... I'm putting it out there. It's a guaranteed set. That, or pay way more later on eBay etc.

I don't mind others helping close friends out but advertising it for a fee kind of defeats the VIP process and how is that any different than people flipping a figure? What if there are legitimate VIPS that haven't had time to order yet ?It's really non of my business seeing I'm not interested in this figure , I will just crawl back into my hole.

everything is still available except version 2 which as I recall, was the one that most, if not, everybody wanted...but I digress on that point...I don't think it will sell out super fast but it will eventually sell out...and that's just for the custom figures...the beds...I don't think will sell because they are inaccurate...

The only reason I said anything is because if this WAS a figure I wanted and VIPS abused the orders system ( people are currently adverting on Facebook right now for a large fee). If it took potential orders from non VIPS at general release I would be upset, it's hard enough to get an item non-VIP as it is

Guys - I just want to set the record straight - I was not going to charge a cent more to help someone! In fact I was in a dinner meeting when I started getting all sorts of pms and then people asking me crazy questions on bed size etc! As if I am a sales man!
But now karas points opened my eyes -l- wld not be cool to help someone get 1k more when some other freak cld get it! So not buying for anyone!
Simple Moto now onwards - never help if you dont know the person well! And buy only for yourself! That's what I am gonna do going forward!
