Sorry to bump this thread again... but does anyone know if this is ever going to come out? Didnt SSALEX say that they will show this by end of 2013?

So far this is the only sideshow piece that I'm looking forward too and it seems to take forever for them to release this thing.

Would have been awesome but SS seems to be scrapping extra huge pieces. They were doing a World War Hulk on the throne PF but decided against it because it would have been to large. No doubt this Dio would have been gigantic. I would have bought both if they made them.

Yet they are getting more into life size stuff? I hope size is not the main factor. They could always do separate boxes if necessary. I like the bigger items so hope that is not a trend..

I wonder if we will ever find out what prevented this piece from ever seeing the light of day. SS previewed (teased, in other words) what looked to be a rather detailed prototype of the diorama back in 2010 (2010!!) and got many collectors drooling. Then years of waiting and nothing... Supposedly, an insider indicated in early 2013 that this was still in the works but there is no further indication that is the case. It's a shame because this would have been an epic showpiece.

What could have been. Just to confirm to everyone before they get too excited, this is the one off prototype and it will likely remain the only one ever made. Alex confirmed it has proven too difficult to produce due to its complexity, even when broken down into individual smaller pieces.
