Man of Steel >>> Superman 1978

In all honesty, though, that's just because Superman is one of the greatest movies of all time. It's still unbelievable when I think of the sheer talent that went into that film. Direction by Richard Donner, a script from Mario Puzo, the man behind The Godfather, another one of the greatest films of all time, and the cast was superb.

The then unknown Christopher Reeve is now the most obvious, but that really was his big break, and it was a stroke of genius on the parts of all involved, but, then, you think about the rest of the cast, and it's unbelievable. Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Ned Beatty, Terrence Stamp, and that's not even counting the old guard, like Glenn Ford and Jackie Cooper. Then, you add all that up and you still haven't mentioned the fact that it's a damn great movie, and you have yourself the stuff of legend.

There's some dated stuff, to be sure, but it's still just as brilliant, today, as it ever was.

Game of thrones is boring.

Pretty much all the superman movies and TV shows have sucked with the exception of man of steel.

The only good Romero zombie film was the original night of the living dead.

Punisher war zone was the best punisher film.

Doctor who is drivel.

Big bang theory is the farthest thing from funny.

Thin red line is one of the worst war films ever made.

Dale dying was the best thing that's ever happened on walking dead.

Sam jackson's nick fury is just Sam Jackson with an eye patch. I hate it.

Unbreakable and lady in the water were pretty good. Signs and sixth sense kinda sucked.

Netflix Daredevil is painfully boring...
The Walking Dead is 5 seasons too long...
Chris Evans is better as Human Torch than as Cap...

ALIENS isn't a good ALIEN sequel, but still an awesome movie.

_

"The Punisher" and PWZ were good flicks.

"The First Avenger" is on a par with "Iron Man".

"The Avengers" is a mediocre blockbuster.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." S01 is much better than S02.

"The Winter Soldier" is the best superhero movie to date.

"Age of Ultron" is a ****ing mess but could be great.

_

Snyder's "Dawn of the Dead" is ****ing terrible.

"The Walking Dead" is ****ing terrible. (first season was fine)

Cameron is great. :lol It seems more popular to slag him off now so I think I'm valid for the thread topic.

I would like to point out that I jumped off the Cameron fanwagon after T2 and True Lies. Neither were as "great" as people made them out to be. With sub par action that was more style over substance... Titanic and Avatar were the icing on the cake...

Having said that.. I like T2 and think True Lies is OK. Just not the classics that everyone else makes them out to be.

Yes this opinion is unpopular :) :)

PS - I did not know people were dissing on Cameron now... About time people saw what I have always known.. ;) ;) ;)

The Final of the Sopranos was great as it fit the characters futures just fine.

The Sopranos as a series is over rated. Good on a first viewing but after all is said and done... Meh...

I agree with the first part of this, and strongly disagree with the second.

I must have watch the entire show over 5 times and it gets better and better with repeat viewings. A lot of subliminal messages and meanings I missed the first time.

George Lucas has never been a good screenwriter even in his prime. The Star Wars and Indiana Jones trilogies are filled with awkward dialogue and clunky acting.

The portrayal of Jedi in the prequel series as a monastic order that forfeits family and attachments is one of the few elements that worked.

Quentin Tarrantino movies are weird.

Zach Snyder is an overgrown teenager that only cares about overblown visuals, and ruins everything he touches.

Holocaust movies are pretentious, preacy, boring, and usually just made to fish for an Oscar.

The most entertaining movies to mass audiences are the best ones. Not wierd art house crap.

The vampire diaries is actually a surprisingly awesome show.

Always loved that

-The Phantom Menace is the best movie in the prequel trilogy.

-Batman Begins was better than The Dark Knight

-Timothy Dalton was overall the best James Bond, combining the best elements of the rest.

-The portrayal of the extermination camp in Terminator Salvation was perfect.

-Doctor Who hasn't had a great episode since David Tennant left.

-Dollhouse was a better story than Firefly.

-Introducing other superheroes was one of the worst decisions Smallville ever made.

-Community stopped being funny when it stopped being a parody of college life and introduced weird meta and fantasy elements.

-True Detective was meh

-The Walking Dead has been excrutiatingly boring since season 3. Mostly consisting of people moping around and self pitying broken up by the occasional repetitive zombie fight.

-Just because something is in the comics is no reason at all to introduce it into a movie adaptation. A lot of comic elements look stupid in live action.

-Except for some poor casting decisions and a lame threat, Superman Returns is an amazing movie.

Agreed with these. Particularly Smallville
