Sideshow cancelled the first run of the Predator 2 maquette because the quality did not meet their standards, and yet the quality of this Iron patriot must have met their high production standards for it to be sent out to customers.

SS has in fact found one that can produced the Predator 2 maquette of high quality, but wouldn't pay for the cost which will erode their profit. :wave

Members on the other board stated they were offered $45 credit and no replacements were available, though full refunds are. Out of replacements the first week it hits customers homes? I'm not sure how that's possible.

How can they be out of replacements it's on there website buy it now and shipping now?

We shouldn't have to "touch up" a $400 statue, if we simply except poor quality without sending it back and letting them know then we will continue to receive poor quality items, our silence and acceptance of the shoddy product is our consent and approval of it.

Also these aren't what you would call "mass produced", iphones are mass produced, these are supposedly high-end, museum quality, limited edition, hand-painted collectables.

And because I have been critical of a Sideshow statue my post will now be deleted in 3...................2...................1

:exactly:

Keeping shoddy statues like this hurts us all in the long run. If you want the Sideshow of old you have to take a stand. We'll get jumped on for saying anything against Sideshow but i really don't care. Sideshow of old made amazing statues you could enjoy from the get go. Now it's like a lottery.

IMO both of your comments are fine. Neither of you are being derogatory towards SSC. You're speaking of QA issues that concern every collector due the money we dish out for these collectibles.

Hence no deletion by any of the Mods.

The new CoC asks that when one is being critical about a company, product or professional artist that you put more thought into you criticism instead of going the easy route and just saying "it sucks", "looks like ****" or "it's crap".

:peace

How many people stated that? It is kind of concerning for me as I'm looking into possibly getting a full replacement for mine.

I don't think it was that they were out of replacements just that noe f the replacements were of a better quality than what the guy already had.

So the IM curse continues, and another massive sign of inconsistent quality between factories shows up. This is SSCS biggest issue IMHO. The drastic swings in Quality are a total buzz kill because it IS hard to get excited about any one piece because you aren't sure how it is going to come out. All you have to do is look at the difference in the tailoring between the Reeve Supes and the Comic Supes to see that the factories are playing at entirely different levels. With that being said I really do think that SSC should spend some time over at their factories, like the Ben and Seng from XM do, before and during production to firstly show the painters how to achieve certain effects, and to check QC just prior to release. I also think that they should offer some insentives/consequences to the painters and tailors who do great work and those who do terrible work. In today's day and age I am sure that there could be a way to track individual parts and who worked on them, and you could reward those who consistently do great work financially, and you could appropriately train or reassign those who are have difficulty. Now this would cost more, but I would be willing to bet, especially given what people are willing to pay for XM pieces, that people would gladly pay the increased cost if the KNEW that they were ensured a quality piece. Also, it would encourage those who are already doing a great job to keep up the amazing work because there are some who are meeting that standard. My Superman Comic PF is a testament to that.

Price rises? Shouldn't we at least expect acceptable paint apps for the hundreds/thousands of dollars we're already paying? PF's are already edging towards $500 as it is.
