Just sharing from the Customs thread. Still a WIP:

Looks awesome, QuigonFishing! Did you use a MOS body? Also, is the beard sculpted on those head sculpts or is the facial hair only painted on?

Now this is the best Greenhorn kit bash I've seen. No high water jeans.

Thanks guys! Man of Steel body... That was a must for me. I like the treatments others have done with this bash, but I plan on displaying these two together (Clark and Supes). Made no sense to me to have a short, comparitively scrawny, Clark standing next to tall muscular Supes.

Not sure if you can tell from this shot, but the beard is sculpted - though subtlety. This is the Artic ice worker "Joe", "Kal, that's my name?" incarnation of Clark, so the beard is just a little more full than scruff.

Sideshow took my final flex payment for this back in January, but I still haven't seen it. I contacted Sideshow a couple times and they said it's stuck at the port due to the strike.

Strange, i thought the delay was for new shipments...they should have had this in stock. Hope it gets resolved soon...and congrats, its an awesome fig.

Yes it is..!

I have two other bearded sculpts as well, but the Kai Studios custom is superior, hands down.

I may have to break down and fill the MOS body S shield mounting hole, though. Don't want to have to try to hide it.

Cool,

I had the chance to get that KAI sculpt. But i wasn't felling the price of it...
So I custom mine....

Cheers!

Understood... It was definately an "investment". Yours looks great, though. I think the key is that if you're going to use the MOS or a larger muscular body, that you go with the original head sculpt size. The pinhead look needs to be avoided.

Nice pics. I need to make a Clark. What did you use for the Kryptonian key and necklace?

Thanks, JJ. It was part of the Hero Save Us kit at OneSixthKit. It's just a small black cylinder with a tiny knob at the top on a piece of black thread. I will change it out for the 1/6 command key that came with him when I'm feeling more ambitious.

Incidentally the only pieces I was able to salvage from this kit were the necklace and the shoes. Nothing else came close to fitting the MOS body. Even the shoes on my Clark aren't really attached. The angle pegs are just resting in them. Still some distance to go on this...
