The man of stool PF looks like one of those figures with bubble bath inside.

No one likes you, Irvy! :lol

It's quite comical reading all these hate comments towards this piece based on a cell phone shot with bad lighting. Has anyone taken a selfie and thought....hmmmmm....I look terrible, that doesn't look like me at all. Without a proper lens and lighting anything can be made to look nothing like it is supposed to. I agree that the headsculpt could be better but I do see Reeve in it. Could it resemble him more?.....sure!! But I appreciate the artists work, and If I didn't I would not do what I can to make anybody feel bad who actually did like it. That must make people feel really manly to bash artists work behind a keyboard, and bash other peoples choice on liking it. Just move on. If you can do better than do us all a favor and do it. If you don't like it than don't buy it....move on. Why bash artists work who put hundreds of hours of heart and soul into a piece?
As far as the costume goes....it is movie accurate. If you look at pics from the movie, and not just go off what you think it looked like, than you will notice that the shield was stitched into the costume as Sideshow has done. The S shield in the movie is also imperfect as Sideshow has portrayed. I think they did a great job of duplicating the look of the costume from the movie. Im sure the online pic can be futzed to look a bit nicer too as can the shorts and belt.
In my opinion this is easily the best Reeve Superman statue. Until Arnie Kim can get us a 1/4 or 1/3 Reeve Superman statue I will be more than fine with Sideshows attempt.CW-ChrisReeve-portrait-6.jpg

Ya know I am going to have to watch my Superman blu ray again... I know there is all this talk about the suit being screen accurate.. But I don't remember it looking sewn on like that... MAny photos people have been using are publicity shots and I am not 100% sold that that was the same suit used in the film..

Here it looks much better then some of the other photos. The SSC piece does seem to be based on the publicity shots though. Perhaps they all are one and the same... Not sure if SSC should not have taken some artistic license there though.

TRUE DAT!

Chin didn't you get in trouble once already for creating double accounts ;)

Someone out there has gotta get the green light someday to do Reeve the right way. Sideshow can't be the only one that has the exclusive rights to do this guy.

I just can't get behind this one. Not even temporarily. I'm just not that desperate to wanna own SS's Reeve until some other company comes out with a better Reeve. I'm anxious to see more pics of him, though.

Sounds like someone's feelings got hurt. Sorry...

NOT

Almost nothing you said is correct, sorry, you are the one who needs to move on.

LOL. The oh so clever. Sorry.....NOT. That is genius. HaaaHaaaa....I may be laughing about that clever line for hours....no days!! Weeks!! Haaaaaa. Sounds like something my 8 year old daughter would respond with.

Anybody get a notice on when they will get their Supes? I got a notice yesterday saying 3-5 weeks. Gonna be a rough couple of months with Keaton Bats, Wonder Woman and Supes showing up all within weeks of each other.

Phew, real glad i got HT evil version now after all these let-downs. The S on chest may be the last nail in the coffin for me, maybe still some hope...doubt it.
Am not too keen on the art on the box itself either. Nothing of the art indicates it is a statue of Mr. Reeves inside or is themed from the movie.
Since they use Kent on the box, then a hope for SS making a statue of Kent revealing his S may be more far-fetched. While they have the licence.
