Just got an update in my e-mail from Mezco stating that the Mezco exclusive has been affected by the port delays and won't be shipping on the 12th as planned:

"One:12 Collective Batman And Port Delay New York- A slowdown at the 29 largest seaports in the US has caused delays for billions of dollars of cargo including the new One:12 Collective The Dark Knight Returns Batman figures. Originally slated to premiere on January 12th,a backup of ships waiting to dock and be unloaded has presented a challenge to their delivery . We ask for patience as the backlog of ships slowly winds its way through the ports. They also ask for understanding as the boats wait to be unloaded and as the freight then works its way through the local distribution channels to the collectors and retailers. Unexpected delays are a trying challenge, especially when it is beyond the manufacturer’s control, but fans can be confident that in the end the new One:12 Collective The Dark Knight Returns Batman is worth the wait.

I got this too. Just one more to add to the logjam of figures that will hit all at once. :slap

For those that have ordered from Mezco Direct before, how is their packing quality? As in, do they pack their items well for shipping? if Mint / Very good packaging is a concern, I'm wondering if I'm better off just going through BBTS.

To this day I still have a grudge against dc direct for not doing a second have of figures. Such a no brainer line up they had on their hands. Armored batman, Oliver queen, mutant leader, and or mutant gang members(Don/Rob), sons batman. After that the series would have pretty much been complete.

Here's hope that they would "reactivate" the DKR series. DC Collectibles have lesser paint apps but this time we would get a bit more articulation and less prepose.

Okay. Okay. Show me exactly how much it takes to break you.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes ooooooh giddy yes.

If we're getting a Mutant leader there's NO ****ING WAY we're not getting a Superman.

Yeah, I thought they'd give us Superman and they'd be done with Dark Knight. Now I have no clue what they're doing with this line. They said that they wanted to make a bunch of wishes come true!

It would be a dream for me to get Bane without Venom and with an unmasked head. I prefer them using Graham Nolan's art, because Bane's really his baby.

I want that Mutant Leader more than I want Batman. He's never been made, so I can pass him up. Hope he's not as pricey as Bats.

The only way it could be as expensive as Bats it's if it came with a **** ton of accessories because he doesn't have nowhere near the amount of tailoring Bats has.

Regardless, he looks bad ass.

I'm curious if their 89 Batman will be on display at NYTF. I also wonder if they won't make the armored Batman look; possibly with an alternate, unmasked head?

.......good god.

Is that for real??

Mutant Leader. Want.

Where did that pic come from??

I've been trying to scale back on my collecting lately for the obvious reasons.....money and space.

Even decided I didn't need ALL THREE variants of Batman (but I definitely NEED both the black symbol and yellow oval versions!)

But there's no way I can pass on more characters from DKR...it's my all time favorite. I used to daydream about actual FIGURES from the book; better articulated than the four we got from DCD.

Mutant Leader is an insta-buy with no regrets. As would be Superman, Joker, Robin, Green Arrow, Mutants, Sons of Batman and even Gordan.....money and space be damned, I will get ALL of these!!!

(And fingers crossed for an amazing 89 Batman too!)

Just checked out that link. Love the packaging. It literally looks like an HT MMS release. If these are as cool as they look in pics they may be the coolest 6 inch figure ever.
