Yeah. I'm a bit of a sucker for the AvP Preds. I'm all in, too.

Yep I love the AVP Pred. I know alot of people hate the look of them but they are my fav look of them! I can't wait when and if we ever get an 1/4 Scar!

After the next wave of Kenner Tributes then we'll get AvP........but probably towards the end of the year. Maybe Sep/Oct/November:(

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. Finally showing something new! Looking good so far. Can't wait to see some pics with the armor on

Looks pretty good so far. But I gotta admit, I''m not really a fan of that much articulation. I think the Predator 2-style, and Jungle hunter 2.0 body types hit the perfect mix/balance of articulation and sculpt. Although I guess alot of the joints will be covered since these AvP Preds have alot more armor covering them than the other Preds.

As far as re-releasing the JH and CH with this updated articulation scheme in a "Best of" wave, did Randy specify if they would be updated versions and sculpts in any way? Seems more likely they would just re-release the sculpts they already have. I mean, with these new AvP Preds they have enough material to make about 3 waves of figures and variants using the same body type and near-identical armor (with some variations), so they cost of tooling this brand new body and the armor to go with it is justified. Just off the top of my head they have Scar, Scar unmasked, Celtic, Battle Camaged Celtic, Chopper, Elder, and Ancient Pred.

With JH and CH, they would have to tool 2 seperate super-articulated bodies (the body types and shape are different between the JH and CH), and new armor to fit that body type. Even if they make 3 variants of each (Masked Unmasked, Unmasked/closed mouth),it would require more than one wave to do. I guess they could sprinkle them throughout future waves. But then all of the Lost Preds and Elder would look out of place.

That's how I feel about it. But I can picture these things snapping in half at the abs a lot. I quit buying their Aliens because of this problem.

Luckily, I don't think these guys will have much issue with breakages. I don't think I've really had any major problems with that since series 3. And If the Dutch figure is anything to go by, the torso articulation should be pretty sturdy. I just think that many joints (especially in the torso, double-jointed elbows and upper arm articulation) ruins the aesthetic of the figure a bit.

I can definitely appreciate what they are trying to do though, I'm sure there are TONS of people who love this type of ultra-articulation, and have been waiting for the Pred figures to get it. Heck, when I first saw that painted prototype, I thought it was a Hot toys figure body.

I'm excited for these, I just personally hope that for future comic and video game Preds they stick with the Predator 2 articulation model.

I read awhile back that these guys are suppose to have removable armor much like the Hot Toys versions, and opening wrist computer.

That would be awesome. Neca may use real netting too.

They said real netting on the 8 inch scale would be impossible... But I'm pretty sure with in a year or two we will at the very least get an 1/4 Scar.
