Excellent shots, guyver! I gotta get me this.

To be fair, the last set of shots are from a custom from another collector , not the anniversary edition I picked up. But guess what, He made an auction out of it, I won it and now I'm awaiting the arrival :wink1:

So technically it is mine now. I can't wait to compare this custom to, along with my other custom to this piece.

I will say for a manufactured non custom figure, this is pretty impressive., in hand, is it perfect..no, but even the pinkish lips didn't bother me because overall this is the 7" Keaton Batman to own. :clap

I love the over the shoulder look on this figure

There's no denying this is Keaton IMO

Can you imagine Neca's 66 Batman and Robin scaled down like this to fit in Mattel's 66 batmobile?
Could you make that happen, Randy?

Toys R Us really screwed the release of this figure big time.

First, certain stores started selling this a week prior to the official release date.
Second, the blu-ray included isn't the deluxe edition as it should be.
Third, yesterday was the official release date and many stores didn't even get their shipment in.
Fourth, in their inventory system, it now shows none in stores or online and that the item has been discontinued.

For those who missed out on the eBay auctions, wanted to compare paints in stores, or buy an extra to keep on the classic card, TRU really disappointed a large grouping of their collector market.

Toys R Us's collector market has honestly gone down pretty bad recently. Less Japan imports, less emphasis on some NECA products (in mine anyway) and so on...they really seem to emphasize the children's part now and have nothing else. Last year they had some good Japan things and the NECA department was fairly big. Now NECA is so much smaller.

Yeah the promotion was a complete sham. I went to a few other TRUs in my area and some told me that because it's a limited release some TRUs won't even order them or get them in stock. It depends on the TRU store. I can't believe each TRU is different.

I was damn lucky, I picked up this one from the only TRU in my area that actually had them, but get this, they only got about four total..WTF!
Including this one, I purchased..I was happy the guy knew what I was talking about when they opened yesterday. He actually held one for me.

The blu Ray is a farce, but to get it free, I can't really complain. I still have the right blu Ray along with another figure I ordered online on it's way but I wanted to see if I could snag one in the store first. Not going to lie, at least for now, it's the luck of the draw to find the figure in store at this point.

Yeah IDK about most of the TRUs in your guy's areas but mine seem to focus on Marvel, Star Wars (particully Rebels lately) Disney, Power Rangers, WWE, Transformers and Turtles in the action figure department.

Occasionally they have a good Neca or collector's aisle with some sports figures mixed in, but that's just one store out of 10 in my area that focuses on the collectible figures

I ordered 2 from the WB eBay store and they are due to arrive this Friday. I was considering picking up a third figure at my local TRU as I like the idea of checking these out in store first to make sure you get one with good paint apps. Ultimately, however, I got lazy and decided to just take my chances and hope I get a good one from the WB store. Hope I don't end up regretting that decision.

To add insult to injury, I shop at the same TRU that Randy shops at and that store didn't even get them in.

I wish I had twitter to ask him if this store had ever received any in.

I was going to call TRU and noticed on the web product page that it says it's not available in stores, online only, which is a load of crap.

Make sure you don't use the UPC and TRU # that the web page is giving. It's not right for the stores. The real number is 634482614259.

Not that that will necessarily help. A lot of people are calling their stores with the number and the employees are saying that it comes up as "zero inventory" or none in stock. Then when people go to that particular store in person, the store has them on the pegs/shelf, at electronics or behind a counter. I don't think these things are in the system when they arrive. Pretty baffling how poorly managed this thing is. It's THEIR exclusive. :lol

They botched the Diamond blu ray they were supposed to include, some stores were completely oblivious to the Dec. 9th release date and it seems a lot of the stores don't even know of their existence.

It's hard to tell,If the WB store is legit, I would think they would put more work into making sure collectors got the best deal so maybe they would get the best figures since they are selling the proper blu Ray, however since it's a Neca product, they might've mass produced the figures for limited uses and as such the inconsisistencies in the paint work.

Yeah try this guys in case you missed my previous post, I took a pic of the shelf tag yesterday

But I agree with Difabio, calling them is useless unless you luck out and get a person that knows completely of the product you are talking about like I did. Most of them have no clue and just check the website. It's best to go down to the store and investigate at least for now what I suggest, again no guarantees.

I wonder what would happen if I printed that out, straightened it, cropped it and put it on the shelves and pegs of the stores that aren't carrying them. :lol

When it comes to NECA product, the Toys R Us stores around here suck (even the better, larger ones). They got like one case of Jet Pack Robo, one case of Predator, one shipment of POTC and that's it. I don't think they're ever going to get the 8-bit NES tribute '89 figure (or the other tributes) by the looks of it.

I'll tell you what they got a **** ton of though, those damn "Re-Action" retro kenner inspired figures. Holy crap.

First , you'll probably get a lot of angry collectors :lol

Next, many confused workers that probably were just hired for the holidays and will probably get laid off in February anyway

And finally, Well, I actually saw the the robocop vs Terminator figures both robos and terminators in heavy supply, wasn't impressed.

That would be nice, but I am doubtful. I can't imagine WB having anybody actually inspect all of the figures in order to set the "good" ones aside for the online sales. I've ordered most of my NECA stuff online and so far I'd say I've been pretty lucky. I just hope that trend continues as, for me, this is THE most anticipated figure they have ever put out.

Your store had them though, right Sachiel? You said they were sold out. There was a space on the shelf for them right?

When I went in Monday night I didn't find any vacant spots or price tags. I asked a worker on the floor about them who radioed another worker and was told "we're all out". He said I wasn't the first guy who came in asking about it so it seemed they knew what I was looking for. Would have check during the weekend if I wasn't sick.

I called another TRU and they asked for the web#. I was told they didn't have any available and wouldn't be getting anymore in.

I preordered from TRU.com when they went up and it's saying "awaiting inventory". I'm wondering if that will even happen.

Damn one-off figure. It's easier to buy the video game figure and repaint that. :lol

Maybe I should save my money for Mezco's 1:12.

I can remember going in TRU last week trying to find NES Batman. When I asked around one of guys just directed me towards the action figure aisle where all of the Batman stuff was. He said something along the lines of, "If it's not there, we don't have it." Oddly enough, it wasn't until I went back yesterday looking for 25th anniversary Batman that I found the NES Batman over near the video games. As far as this figure, I may just go back to TRU each week until I find it.

I got my WB eBay figure today surprisingly enough. It didn't evan have a tracking # until this morning and I didn't get a shipping notification until late last night. But I checked my mail this morning, and it was there. Mine has about the same level of detail and paint as the one I bought a week ago at TRU. The logo looks a little crooked, but I think his head is just in an awkward position in the plastic. I will post pics later, but right now I am trying to glue the right leg of my NECA 1/4 Adam West Batman back on. Got him this morning too, just got him out of the packaging, was testing his joints to see how stiff they were. And his leg was so stiff that just trying to see what movement I had busted it. Do you guys have any suggestions for what kind of glue to use to repair figures like this?

I like Loctite gel

Did you get the right blu Ray?

Nice to see that the WB store came through after all:yess:

If anyone is interested check out on YouTube " batman Luxe edition (Zavvi) the uk guy did a review on the actual blu Ray, he didn't get the figure though.

For a free blu Ray the case alone is worth it.
