Why does Gohan look so weird in the poster?

What is there to focus on with him unless he to some extent becomes vulnerable though? Where he could he find a power source big enough to even remotely close the gap between him and beerus, whis and a God ssj? These aren't rhetorical questions ftr, I'm legitimately curious if anyone has ideas for that?

I'm not sure, really. At least without contradicting what Toriyama established in Battle of Gods. Shenron's power is a joke apparently to Beerus and Whis. The only reason why Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin are even on the poster is because they were in the Frieza Saga. Other than that, I can't imagine they would be of any use.

I think I'm kind of mixing up my own feelings, because I hate frieza, but that's kinda what you're supposed to, since he's the evil guy. I don't hate the character as in I wish it didn't exist (like badidi), it's just not the way I can say I "like" cell or the twins because they're actually cool, imo. Frieza's not cool to me, though a great original staple design, he just annoys me.

Wasn't frieza meant that way? Like, to be a really annoying creepy dude who constantly acts like a spoiled brat who can't admit defeat? Obviously he's quite a good character if that is the case, it sure as hell came across to me.

I think in general I'm not as big a fan of villains as many people are. That's what I really liked about Beerus btw, kindof beyond villainy, just amoral, with a destructive agenda. I guess Frieza's much more the truly classically evil dude in DBZ.

Guess it makes sense to reuse him, iconic as he is.

I feel the exact same way about Frieza but what's interesting is that I actually think King Cold is pretty cool. He looks pretty much like 2nd form Frieza just with a different colour scheme and armour and a cape but...it's all in the attitude...it's all in the way the character carries himself, you know?

Frieza was actually pretty entertaining in his first and second forms, making jokes as he casually kills namekians, rips Nail's arm off and throws it back to him, impales Krillin and toys with his limp body, etc...but in his final form he just becomes a whiny bigot who has not a shred of dignity or honor (and not in a cool way).

King Cold has no dignity or honor either...but in a cool way. He acts bored almost the entire time on Earth, casually disregards the death of his son and tries to talk Trunks into being his business partner with bribes. When he takes the sword to "look at it" he suddenly changes out of his "suave" character and tries to mercilessly kill Trunk with it...and he begs for his life seconds later using the same tone he tried to befriend Trunks with. He's entertaining, had good voice acting in the show and was memorable for only appearing in like 2 episodes.

I dont think thats Gohan, its Yamcha (same outfit as his in BoG)

Edit: my bad, its not Yamcha that wore thay outfit, Krillin did. I still think its Yamcha though

There's no scars though. Yamcha would be out of place, everybody else fits because they were part of the Frieza Saga.

Ooh maybe Pan is born by now. We might venture past the starting point of GT. Man it'd be cool if Trunks and Goten were teens the way Toriyama would write them..

I just realised, do we know Toriyamas version of goten past being a kid? I don't think we do, do we, that's all GT isn't it?

Edited: His hair looks similar to his hair in the Frieza Saga but more adult.

Vegeta's armor is strange after looking at the high resolution picture. At first I thought it was a combination of his current Saiyan armor and the Namek Saiyan armor but the tan part is painted on rather than having the rigid format. His suit is black, too. I hope the release design photos of it.

Vegetas armor is at least partly based on the armor he fought frieza in, but you are right, the tan is painted. Also, he isnt wearing a jumpsuit, I can see what almost looks like a zip like he is wearing a jogging suit!

To me, Goku's new gi reminds me of his End of Z attire but can't really tell due to the poster art. I am loving Gohan's hair SO much more than his Buu Saga base hair. I honestly don't know why Gohan didn't have the same hairstyle as Future Gohan. It should have been.

Manik, you might have just hit the nail there with Gohan. If this is later on then adult Gohan may have the same hair as future Gohan, and just spike it up like Goten does. Teen Gohan may just have spiked his hair up in the Buu saga thinking about it.
