Man, we're old.

Teens find out about the original Nintendo Entertainment System. :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Why is Arya Stark in that?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

While emceeing, the son of the groom came up and asked for the mic. He's 8.5. I made the mistake of letting him say something in the mic. He said I suck at this.
:monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2
:lol :lol :lol :lol
There's also a point near the port where all the guns stop. Why not go straight there? Not just the scenic route, but the route with all the gun turrets!
Stop trying to make sense of Star Wars dammit :thwak

We really do have a bunch of twats on this board.
Twat factor is off the charts these days.
Whelp, fury is gone. :( To say we had "fun" would be a major understatement. I'm already missing him. Best weekend I've had in quite sometime. :D
Awesome Flosome :rock :rock :rock

What is that creature attached to your chest :panic: :panic: :panic:
Yeah, we hate twats in here. :lol
Speak for yourself an fury, I love twat!
Just had dinner with brother Waller tonight. We talked about ALL you guys.
Jerks
How many of us got BJs this weekend? :rotfl
One on Saturday and one of Sunday.
Such an amazing feeling. I have sold well over $7500 worth of stuff over the past 2 months.
Damn, that's a killing! Unless of course you paid $10,000 :lol
It just makes me feel sad when everyone is so gung ho for our brothers to sell.
Selling is awesome. If I weren't so lazy I would sell a lot more of my stuff.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

fury did start this in me. :(

That wasn't me. It was your buddy gibby. He was always encouraging me to continue the 100 things challenge and not spend when I have debt. But to also invest in experiences (ROW, Laguna Seca, Orlando) rather than material possessions.

Although I have been going on with my minimalist propaganda, I don't feel I've been pushing it on anyone else. I absolutely love getting the chance to see amazing collections that have people's heart and soul written all over them. Like punk, punk wife MLP, Shropt, Flosi, and Flosi brother's Transformers! Did you see my post on FB. I love that fanatacism, so long as it doesn't disrupt their lives or consume them financially...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Fury do these cars hold their value at all? Or are they like most cars lose 20% of their value the second you leave the lot? As someone who isn't a car guy at all I don't see a car as something is go all in on unless I won a substantial bit of cash.

They're pretty much like all other cars when it comes to depreciation, right off the lot. Over the long haul, when properly cared for, they can fetch slight premiums, because they have a fan base. But that shouldn't be relied on of course. I'm decent at buying automobiles, aside from my one foray into leasing.

I'd ideally like to buy this next car with cash in the barrel head, and keep it 15-20 years! :D

If I could, I would love to invest my money in experiences but with my job, 2 small kids, a new house and a marriage I just can't pick up and travel like most of you. That's probably why I do invest so much time and money in my "distractions". Hopefully someday I can change that. I really would like to minimize what I have but it's really hard when the addiction is so strong.

No, not at all. I would be a bit down to let my ESB go. But this was the tri-logo. I'm good with it.

Ahh yes, I forgot about the ESB. That MUST stay! :lecture

Only 14 pages in 2.5 days? You guys are lazy when I'm gone.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I love spam and potato burritos for breakfast. :lecture

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I'd offer my sympathies, but I'm offended that you would defile a potato so ignominiously. Therefore, I shall scorn you.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I've not yet begun to defile this potato.

I would never say I have seen Stormy go "SELL SELL SELL".

I do see you personally looking to take this approach with your life as a whole and not just with collecting.
If I could, I would love to invest my money in experiences but with my job, 2 small kids, a new house and a marriage I just can't pick up and travel like most of you. I think this is me as well. Before settling down I traveled and did a lot. Being married and living in a single income home where EVERYTHING is on my shoulders is not easy. It also does not allow for much me time. So yes, I invested in my man cave and use that as my escape. It's all I have on a regular basis.

I could sell everything in my basement and it would still not give me much once it's gone to bills or something in the house.
I don't buy much now. I buy little things here and there, but that comes from making all of my meals at home and barely ever eating out, going out or drinking. I would still have to support my entire home and I would still not get to travel. Only then I would have nothing but an empty room to do so in.

Not sure if any of that makes sense but it does to me.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

There is such a love for people to sell their collections. It kind makes me sad to see that kind of enthusiasm for something that actually brought us so close together. .

I love my stuff.

I love my stuff too... I might just be bored of the non-SW stuff now though.

It was cool to show fury the few items I have on display here at my brothers.
