:lol

Look at the picture they used for that article.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I see what you mean, they do have a slight "TV show" feel, it's understandable, but it's not bothersome for me.

I agree that the new suit looks like a big step down from MOS and that it does look a lot cheaper like a kid's Halloween costume.
Hmm, so do we go with costumes that look like they are out of a cheap TV show, or worn by a child during Halloween? In theory, I would go with the Halloween costumes, but I don't think WB/DC will use the good ones like this: https://dinosaurdracula.com/blog/vlog-the-cloneheads-alien-costume-kit/

Okay I did think of one example of a suit that looked terrible on set but then decent on film:

Obviously the ASM2 suit was still a million times better.

No, ASM suit still looked turrrrble.
:lecture

He made it out of freakin' basketballs. Never forget.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Se7en is totally more upbeat than MOS. At least the murderer died at the end of that one.

"I killed your precious incubated offspring."

"No, no, no!"

*snap*

Yikes. So MOS is basically Se7en but with Spacey killing Pitt at the end. :lol

Geez, you must be depressed.

Why does everyone have to bring up Marvel as soon as someone posts a negative about MOS?

Let the movie stand on it's own two (wobbly) feet for gawds sake.

The CGI muppets didn't work in MOS because the story/narrative/context was just as dumb as the floppy pixel people being battered around the frame for the last 45mins of the film.

The film and the VFX had no weight, ergo you didn't give a flying **** about what was really going on, apart from occasionally saying "that's quite a nice shot", or "that was a cool angle". But because of the pseudo intellectual nature of the film (it was as dumb as ****, but tried to be deep) killed any willingness to accept the silliness of what was being presented on screen.

I agree Marvel movies for the most part feel TV-ish, but they are fun, generally cleverly written with a sense of joy integral to the plot. So rag doll physics don't ruin the moment it's not about the VFX (Hulk bashing Loki being a great example). With MOS it was all about the VFX, because it had little or nothing else going for it after Crowe bit the bullet repeatedly. I personally feel the entire movie would have been a complete disaster without Crowe to give it some integrity. The second half was a mess of poor performances, ridiculous sequences and VFX that ranged from excellent to downright horrible.

They're natural comparisons :dunno, it happens the other way around just as much.

And why can't the VFX be good even if you thought the movie was bad? You can hate MoS all you want but it does look a lot better and has better VFX than any Marvel movie.

Besides, I genuinely think MoS is better than most MS movies, except the ones I mentioned.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I'm not crazy about the suit, but it'll probably look good on screen.

Looks like it was made by hot toys the way rolls form on the waist when you bend the Cavill :lol

And damn, Cavill's hairline receded a LOT since MoS.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Even Guardians of the Galaxy!?!?

Well, I think not, Guardians of the Galaxy really looks pretty, and uses a LOT more CGI than MoS.

Some of the scenes with Groot tossing people around did look a little "ragdoll-y", but just on sheer amount of good VFX GotG beats MoS.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That shot of Hope Boy floating does look cool.

All it needs is one of those video game point prompts above him for the shooters to high five each other after scoring a hit. :lol

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Wait, you mean that's a shot from a comic book movie? I tho it was from one of those Bayformers...

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I thought the ASM suit looked decent on screen but whatevs. Yeah the basketball tread was stupid in principle but it still came out okay. ASM2 suit was perfect.
