Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

In all seriousness , I don't mind the underwear, and it does serve a purpose.. aesthetically speaking . It breaks all the blue color and the red and yellow matches with the shield. Still, there's nothing practical about it, but I don't mind if he has it or if he doesn't.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The underwear never made sense...if you think about it. Not wearing the trunks was another thing Shazam did before Superman...besides flying. :lol

Actually, they did make sense, long ago, trunks were a motif of the strongmen of the 20s and 30s that were adapted to superheroes.

In fact, many Superheroes stopped wearing them long before Superman and Batman, and nobody complains.

Wearing a cape never made sense either.

Should that be taken away too?

Wearing a cape still makes sense, it evokes a royal air, in case of Superman is the blanket he was wrapped up with when sent to earth and in case of Batman, it has a tactical purpose.

Trunks did have a meaning but they outlived their context, capes are timeless.

The belt alone could aid with the aesthetics.

So the underwear literally serves no purpose at all.

Cuz today's circus performers and wrestlers would never wear tights and briefs...

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Did my OPINION hurt your feelings? Don't cry....

Man of Steel was horrible....
Affleck failed as Daredevil before....
Wonder Woman casting based on looks alone is bad...

All signs point to this movie being bad.

No, not at all. A 13-year old boy's opinion does not affect me at all. I was just curious why people hated you and now I know why.

Thank you.

Oh, and by the way, stay away from rubber.

Yeah, I like the costume the way it is, and he still looks like Superman. I curios to see what they do with Aquaman. Is he going to be shirtless the whole time? Is he going to wear a gold...maybe orange armor? Is he going to have the big A belt buckle?

Ah lets lump trunks with capes and tights to get briefs a free pass :lol

Btw, tights stopped being just tights a while ago too, Batman has kevlar beneath the fabric, Superman's suit is a kryptonian ceremonial armor, and Flash's suit protects him from friction.

What do briefs do?

Also, you seem to think wrestlers and circus people in general are "strongmen"... :lol Go ahead and google "strongman" and let me know if any of the people on "stongest man" competitions use any briefs...

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Funny thing is, nobody mentioned "realism" but the people who hate the word "realism" :lol

It's not about realism, it's about common sense. :dunno

And common sense should also dictate that capes be done away with. Symbolism is all well and good but they are a potential hazard and hindrance when it comes to practicality in crime fighting.

Yeah... dunno what the hell are you saying there.

Anyway, if you like strongman more than anything:

:lol if it was about common sense you'd already ate your own hands for writing such heresy.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

What do briefs do?

They protect those around me from extreme fits of envy.

I'd have gotten rid of the cape in MoS. It would have worked well if he saw it when he initially checked out the suit and then consciously decided not to use the cape - because he was after all brought up on earth and should have at least some sense of shame. ;)
