I mentioned that in the thread in the Video Game section that got closed. I really miss "the money shot," as I liked to call it.

Man I loved the money shot. It's always the picture that I save on my phone since it shows the whole package. And I sort of display my figures the same way too.

Not sure about this figure. Love the games, but the suit on this figure looks way to big on the body. Looks like if you picked him up it would move a lot. And of course the rubber issue, and paint on the rubber. Not worth the gamble with how HT and SS handle the issues.

Not to mention it will stretch and leak no doubt, judging from HT's experience with rubber, even as of recent ones like the ED209.

My comedian rubber suit starts leaking and literally melt apart after 1-2 years time. When I spend $200+ for a figure, Id expect them to last at least more than that, as my DCD Batman is still in mint condition despite putting him in an open air display.

I'm a big Batman fan that I would love to own all 1/6 figures of him, but that rubber suit and leather cape are deal breakers for me. I live in a tropical country which means that Batman will have a shelf life of 3 to 5 years. Maybe Hot Toys should include EXPIRY DATES of their rubber-clad figures on the boxes.

I live in a tropical country as well and my DX09 that I had from launch is pristine. I even went so far as to pose him beyond what most people on the boards would do:

So below the waist he looks more like Arkham Origins version. So we going to be calling him "Fat Batman" now?

It works in the pic because its tight fitting and really shows his physique

The HT one have flabby and thick suit, giving him an unpleasant aesthetic overall:

His suit, abs area do not bunch up like that in the game, its like a tight fitting, body compressing suit:

Exactly.

Had they use that fabric on him, it will be bought by me, and Im assuming a lot of others will too.

But thing is, I think that'd require them to do a whole new body thats thicker and bulkier, which they prolly cant reuse for other figures.

Or they could just use a generic body, make a thicker rubber body and pad them up until its thick and bulky enough to pass as the Arkham Batman which is what they are doing now.

It is great overall, But i think his black undies is to big, looks like a diaper on some angles. The images from the game shows slightly smaller black undies. Might be because of the belt is supposed to be positioned lower a bit.

I preorder this guy today. My first preorder for any DC figure(though I have mos and toyfair begins).

I'm unsure how it will hold up, as I was unaware there's such backlash against hot toys rubber. I'm willing to take a chance though.

I think the figure looks great. Looking forward to getting him. Now when is that returns batman available so I can have my second dc on preorder.

So are these rubber concerns about the figure legitimate? Are people just overreacting? Or are people just being absurd displaying there figures in a warm environment?

Either way, easy pre-order. Should look awesome.

Lol, I'm a noob, and I have tons of figures that break down, but I just work with what I have. Sure, you want it in pristine condition for at least a year, unlike some figs that do break down instantly. No company will ever create something that lasts forever. Not sure which is more naive. Medi Raiden, Medi Goku, breaks and cracks like a mofo, but then I'll just have semi statues on display.

why is that funny?? they have 4 Batman games and within those Batman games there are multiple costumes....i think arkham city had 8 alone. and who knows what the new batman game will have. its clear they making it a series cuz its called the VGM series. i think your little laughing head should be egg on your face.

You do know that VGM stands for VideoGame Masterpiece, right? Just like MMS stands for Movie Masterpiece Series? The fact this one figure is part of that series is no guarantee there will be other figures from this game.

I really wanted to love this figure but, for some reason I can't figure out, I don't. I love the games and this is a great representation of Batman but I'm just not excited about getting him when I look at the pictures. Hopefully there are no issues with the suit material for those who are getting him. Maybe I'll feel differently when in-hand pics are up. I do hope he sells enough to convince HT to continue the line. There are a lot of characters from the game that I'd like to see get figures.
