it was my understanding that Asmus meant that ACI has only pumped out 2 (Aragorn and Ringwraith) figures and only has one up for PO while they (Asmus) have produced 4 no including Aragorn. Kind of like saying they've been more productive with the LOTR license than ACI has.

That seems to be really reading into it.

I thought it was much simpler and I took Asmus at its word: that ACI has the OK (from the licensor) to produce two LOTR figures, Aragorn and Ringwraith on Steed. That's it, for now.

Hopefully CREG or ACI could answer this question, as its come a round a couple times. Or ACI could just tease another figure that is not Aragorn nor Ringwraith.

That is not at all how I read it. Seems pretty plain. "ACI only have the license for Aragorn and Ringwraith" sounds just like what it means. The only have licence to produce those two characters. Still, I have never heard of a company with a licence encompassing only two characters from an entire lexicon.

:dunno

I think it's pointless to speculate. I also know that licensing for LotR can get a little complex, especially in Asia. So let's just see what happens.

Asmus did say, "Long story short..." meaning the licensing was very complicated but did say they only had the license to produce those two. It was pretty specific.

Hello all. Yes there will be updates soon. Pics, as Dave mentioned do indeed have to go through approval. Trust me, we are just as eager to show it!

Thanks for the update.
We are in Q3 already, I hope they have fixed the RW size issue and also prepared new info on the steed.

As for this "we do, they don't" on the license, I see no point in bringing the topic up from the last few pages
so just let it be and wait till we see something "official" about it on their FB pages before jumping into any
conclusion.

its a tug-of-war

WOW! The battle for Middle Earth begins.....

Well, the clothing is terrific. And the real hair is an interesting way to go, I think it might just work with some hairgel. But I agree with Pix on the head -- at least in this one picture it looks a bit glam.

ACI's Aragorn and Asmus's Eowyn revealed on the same day. I have to say this Aragorn looks pretty good. Yes a little glam, but nice. Hair looks a little pouffy but gel will likely take care of it. Will have to see more pics, but may pick this one up.

In black and white it looks a lot better already. Personally I also like the hair, if it ends up like this of course. Otherwise there will of course be the "Barbie-Effect".

Only problem about the face ist, and I quote my wife here, that he looks to "pretty", he should have a more rough, a more "male" face. Guess his expression is maybe to kind/sweet. As ranger he went through a lot and should just look more hardened and weathered.
