Vegito and saiyaman have pretty much won, but which trunks, tien and gotenks version is just 1 vote off from being tied.

There's also the problem of buu... Is, now, super buu a viable possibility over kid buu? Don't think so right?

If a Figuarts Dragonball toy was released as a "Web Exclusive", there's no chance that it'll get re-issued, or am I mistaken? I just need to get my Super Saiyan Vegeta and Trunks! I just feel that my Goku is incomplete without Vegeta, besides, Vegeta was my favorite character before (even more than Goku lol!). If only I could buy Super Saiyan Vegeta for less than $200...

Or maybe I'll just buy that $30 "Datong" Vegeta since most people say he's identical to the original with only minor issues, like unclosed armor gap, unpainted white boots, and the... more orange face. I just hope "Datong" Vegeta's quality isn't horrible. I don't want him breaking and snapping even if I just play with him lightly.

I think I'll just wait for a re-issue of Gohan. Can't really afford to spend $200+ just for a single figure, when that amount of money can be used to buy Android 18, 17, 16, and Broly. Oh wow I really want Broly, I just re-watched his movie last night lol! It would be so fun to play with him! He's so huge, massive, that he can just steam roll all the other toys in his maniacal rampage haha

Oh yeah, I have some questions:

1. Is it cheaper to buy these Figuarts Dragonball toys from Japanese online shops, and what online shops do you recommend (locally and from Japan)? So far I've only bought from HLJ (Hobby Link Japan) but they don't seem to have pre-orders for Broly or Android 17.

2. Are there other places aside from Ebay and Amazon where I can possibly buy Super Saiyan Vegeta, Normal Vegeta, Trunks, and Gohan for less than $200 each? I just want to complete my Dragonball toys as much as possible.

1. SS Goku Zero was a web exclusive and was recently re-released. They're official stance is that they're experimenting since it was the first time, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't get re-released (barring SS Goku, Picollo, and SS Gohan).

2. No, Japanese webshops are more expensive because they are exclusive in Japan. The only Japanese webshops that offer them are Big in Japan and Nippon Yasan, both of which overcharge due to them having to buy from Tamashii's site rather than getting bulk orders to save on price.

3. Not that I'm aware of. There's Datongs Vegeta which is pretty identical to the legitimate one, but outside of that your best bet would be to go to hope Tamashii brings some extra stock to a con, but they'll overcharge too.

The first was just out of curiosity, the 2nd was to have an "Ascended SSj Trunks" figure in my display, and the third actually came with the 2nd for free, the seller must've made a mistake or something but we both didn't mind at all. Win-win

I wonder if Tamashii is doing something odd with a potential re-release of SSJ Vegeta. Like maybe they have some sort of plans for him?

Regardless I'm still buying that bootleg at some point because I want a normal Android Saga Vegeta at some point.

It's a DBZ poll, so no DB or GT characters. (Else the pallet becomes too big for a 10 choice poll.)

Any input guys? I'd personally want to add a saiyan namek goku but fat chance of that happening for realz...

Ok, Datong Vegeta it is for me I wonder if Tamashii knows that the Datong Vegeta's been selling a lot (I think I saw multiple entries of them on Ebay, each having sold 200+ or something). Whenever I look at those Ebay shops selling Datong, I keep wondering "Why doesn't Tamashii just sell a new Vegeta when the high demand is still there as shown by the sales of these bootlegs?"

For me, if the price difference between the original and the bootleg is just $10 or $20, I'd still go for the original. Unfortunately the current price for original Super Saiyan Vegeta is $200+ while Datong version is $30 ($50 with Trunks' head), and I just watched the video of Datong Vegeta in action and he looks pretty nice. This is what cemented my decision to just go for the Datong Vegeta.

Oh well, I'm just missing Trunks and Gohan now. I'll just keep pre-ordering the new Dragonball toys that pop up (I love the entire series and characters anyway) especially Broly.

The most important lesson I learned here as a new collector is that starting late can be costly! I just never imagined that these toys would raise in price that fast! I don't think it has been even 5 years since the first one was sold lol I wonder how the future would look like when buying antiques, maybe a Figuarts Dragonball "antique" would cost a few thousand dollars and can be considered like some sort of museum piece.

Oh well, in my opinion, Figuarts makes the best Dragonball toys. If they keep making them, I probably wouldn't look to other brands anymore since I just can't imagine how else anybody can improve making Dragonball toys, unless the technology shows up where holograms or visual effects can be added to toys and a Goku action figure can actually shoot out a Kamehameha

I read somewhere that the DB SH Figuarts were going to stay away from DBGT figures but since Goku SSJ4 is in the Tamashii Buddies, what are the odds they'll do him? I never got through the anime but I loved the character design.

The rep said "well u see GT and Dragonball there in the minis so anything is possible" so that being said if the demand is out for GT and Dragonball characters we'll see them. This line wont ever die IMO

No, they didn't do a poll. To my best knowledge there was nothing available like that. I didn't ask them, but I didn't see anything regarding a figure poll.

@Adeno as awesome as S.H. Figuarts DBZ is, there can be improvements here n there. For instance, they completely dropped the ball on SSj3 Goku, and is in dire need of a repaint. In the early stages they were very lazy with the accessories (SSj Vegeta & Goku for instance), and still are to some extent. Normal Goku taking almost 5 YEARS to be released, there's absolutely no excuse for that. Plus he came with a nowhere-near-as-awesome-as-the-prototype Kamehameha effect. Trolling us with prototypes that they have no intentions on releasing *coughnappashenroncough*. Loose joints (although Normal Vegeta is the main culprit here, the others not so much). Minor paint apps not being accurate, such as Trunks' pupils. At this point I'm nitpicking, but the point is despite their attention to detail in some areas, they completely fudge up or ignore other details which can get annoying after a while.

I remember seeing SSj3 Goku at my local collectors store a while back, sitting on the shelf for literally MONTHS. Nobody dare touch the thing, and I would look up at it everyday. I told the dude that owns the place "imma buy that Goku from you soon, it's obviously not going anywhere" and sure enough about a month later I did, for $45.99. Look where he's at now

Okay , you know what, new approach, here's my proposed line up for our new, post-sdcc info sideshow DBZ figuarts poll. (10 choice max, 1 vote.)

Majin Vegeta (with non-m faces) [opens door to ssj2 goku and other buu characters]
Nappa (confirmed to be armoured if at all) [Opens door to Raditz]
Kid Buu (Super Buu seems unlikely to me still)
Great Saiyaman (with a **** ton of heads)
Tien (bare chest with detachable green vest)
Armoured Trunks
Bojack Trunks
Saiyan/Namek saga Goku
1st form Cell
Bardock

2 saiyan saga characters, 1 saiyan/android hybride release, 2 android characters, 3 Buu era characters and 2 movie characters. Seems a fair spread to me.

I'm gonna leave this potential list here. Go to bed. Then tomorrow I'll hear any agreements or issues with it from you guys. I personally think these ten are the most warranted choices for figuarts releases next year. My personal opinion, taking into account poll results from the past on this site.

Yeah I know! The SDCC orange Vegeta is expensive. I was tempted to buy a $60 one, but then I thought "Hey, I don't like his colors, I want him in his normal color scheme!". If I had a lot of extra money I'd buy one though, but for now I'm only targeting the characters I love.

As for the poll, I just answered the two (one normal poll, one multiple choice). Now that I think of it, I actually want a Mystic Gohan just because I thought that's the second coolest Gohan version around. The way he beat the crap out of Buu was awesome even if it ended up with unfortunate results. I like the two versions of trunks though, armored and the black shirt style... but I think I actually like them equally. It's just that on the show, I'm used to seeing Trunks wearing that armor. Still, when I used to play this game on the SNES called Dragonball Z Butouden 2, Trunks was wearing his black shirt. Both costumes are very memorable to me.

Hmm, I also want to have a Nappa toy! I remember back in the 90s when I was buying those "Dragonball Battle Collection" toys, I never had Nappa. Isn't it cool to have a giant half naked bald dude terrorizing all of your other toys on the shelf? Anyway, what I want is for Nappa to have his armor as an accessory. As a kid, I've always been fascinated by the saiyan armor's design. Maybe have the armor function like Piccolo's or Gohan's cape where you put two pieces together. For the shoulder pads, it should be separate for mobility purposes. What can be done is you can attach the shoulder pads to the assembled armor, and there would be some kind of joint or something that would allow it to be folded or moved similar to Cell's shoulder pad.

Speaking of Nappa, I really wish he'd also come with little Saibamen. I've always wanted to have little toys of those tiny green creatures lol! If not as accessories, then maybe as a separate character, but I hope they'll be affordable. I want them to be able to open their head to shoot out acid!
