A few pictures and thoughts...

Base. I love the base. Yes the graffiti is a decal which is very lazy but looks great all the same.
Brick effect is great...

Ok, we all know by now this is not proto quality. Expected? Yes but this is far removed from the proto but still very nice.
Not as glossy as pictures make it out to be. Shading looks fantastic in person, something pictures just don't do justice.
The carved lines also look decent in person. They are always going to look bad zoomed in on them...

Now the issues.
Floating right foot for me. The peg is slightly out of position. You can push it in but it just springs back out...
Ex head.
Does absolutely nothing for me nor the statue. Skin colour is very flat with what looks like a bit of dirt rubbed in.
Almost looks like his face is dirty. Doesn't come across in pictures but it will stay in the box...

Loads of negativity for this piece but it is still a great Spider-man statue.

P.S Shawn, please don't quote this post it's too long :lol

So good to see you have a decent one m8. Have you tried to warm up the foot peg with a hair dryer??? As for the dirty face, could that be overwash from the blackline??

Hmmmm... Okay I was just wondering this, and I was wondering if anyone who has a body or head that they are going to try to get replaced tried to rub off some of the excess black wash with an soft white eraser. I doubt it will work, but I thought it might be worth a try.

Foot peg is a hefty metal pin so no hairdryer treatment on that.
The flesh colour is very flat with a bit of black rubbed in, doesn't look good.
To be honest it's a funny shape as well. Does the finished piece no favours.
Reg or fail i'm afraid to say :lol

Tell you what, looking at it now it's a bloody impressive piece.
Huge base and Spideys size isn't too shabby either.

Collectorcol, that floaty foot issue is the exact same situation with mine. I wrote SSC with some pics yesterday so we'll see what they say. It's not a deal breaker for me but I want some compensation.

Yeah, it's the metal peg slightly out of position.
I'll be contacting them about that, the huge difference from proto and the crappy Ex portrait.

Ten minutes ago selling him was still an option but i've just fell in love with it!

Well I am glad that you got him and are happy m8. Would the Ex head be better if it had some paint added to it??

Received mine and all in all very happy , colour is clearly darker than preview photos and the
box has been through the wars though and I like a clean box (OCD perhaps)
Looks way smaller than a premium format IMO .

Before I came on this forum (only forum) I wouldn't scrutinise my collectibles and enjoy them for what they are so that's all I'm saying

Hope everyone else has the pleasure I have

Woo hoo. My 100th post:yess:

Great pics Col. Congrats on a decent item! Mine arrives tomorrow...fingers crossed and not happy to feel that way.

The pics above look fantastic, so I'm hopeful.
