Spidey, you seem to be enjoying this. Nobody needs to do all that work. This came out great. Is it the same as the proto? Not quite, but neither was Batman. Or Ivy. They do have a disclaimer to that effect when ordering. To say it is a bait and switch is taking things too far. I know you LOVE your 1/4 piece, it is great. But you are kind of fanning the flames here.

IMO, it looks as good or better. I am sure it was a production reason they changed it, but will guarantee if anyone is that upset, they will refund your order before they ship it.

Miracles do happen and hence why I have to stick up for Spidey on this one ...I don't think he is revelling in watching other collectors feeling disappointed. Even those of us who don't own the piece can still comment on what we see from those inhand pics, and what we see is concerning to all because WE ALL purchase through sideshow and at one point or another their levels of QC affects us all. Its plain to see that the pics show that this piece is not even remotely close to looking like the proto so I'm not sure how you can say that its the same if not better! c'mon dude, I cant believe you truly think that do you? My input in this situation, albeit as a non buyer of this statue, would be to advise those who have this coming or who have this already, to vent your fustrations at Sideshow in order to maybe get some sort of credit applied to your account...regardless of how small it is, just something to take the edge of what appears to be another Sideshow **** up. Alternitavely, like you mentioned, if one isn't happy with it then sending the item back for a full refund is a simple process in itself and at least you can then apply the money towards something else (especially as Comic Con is just round the corner)

SDCC is close now and i can't wait for all the OMG instant PO. It's amazing etc. Only to read posts a year later slagging the same statues off. People need to vote with their wallets, but we never really do. If i was the owner of SSC i also wouldn't give a crap about the statues if people were stupid enough to keep throwing their money at me.

What we need is more companies to give these guys a massive run for their money. Then we might see some change. Until then enjoy the bait and switch.

I am already too far into the line with the two girls. Not getting my money back on MJ either with her crazy ES. Wasn't a fan of the fact she's hollow for her price and the fact she comes with an ES of 6,000. She was only purchased with the idea I would collect the line. Gotta say I am not impressed by SideShow and this sort of thing is making me want to quit giving the company money. They seem to be a miss more than a hit lately with me.

You don't need to stop collecting. You order from loads of different people and buy customs. You hate the way SSC treats us, yet keep throwing money at them. It won't ever get better until people vote with their wallets. So saying you'd have to stop collecting without SSC is BS.

Yea, in all fairness, I think a lot of us, including you Jay, are guilty of saying that we'd never order from Sideshow again due to past **** ups, yet here we are back again in the same situation...so we all moan about it but still choose to accept Sideshow for what they are...at the end of the day, I'm sure none of us like to throw our money away so we obviously buy these statues for a good reason. We are collectors its in our blood!!!

You know what guys. I'm just going to start returning SS products like this. I moan and complain about the lack of QC and bait and switch tactics but at the end of the day I'm lucky to be here in the U.S. because I can simply return the misses for a full refund and keep the stuff that comes out nice. There are new alternatives coming from other manufacturers and I'm just going to be super selective about what I buy and keep from SS. Problem solved and no more BS to deal with. That easy for me. I feel for the international guys though as its not that easy for you. I truly understand why you guys wait it out now for proper pictures and if I were international I would do the same thing
