sorry to hear so many are given the "no replacements" response from SS.

Here's an idea SS, if you have already run out of replacements before everyone has received their statue, maybe there is a real problem that requires a real solution? Maybe you could go back to the factory and demand they make more replacements? Or, have your customers return their statues and use your in-house artists to fix them? That is what I call customer service.

They didn't run out of replacements. Based on what they've said, logic dictates the replacements simply have the same common issues ppl are complaining about. Seems they are holding off on sending replacements bc it will be a waste of shipping money. For example, customer complains about some paint splotches on the arm, they send a replacement but it just has paint splotches on the leg. Customer requests return or refund and now they've wasted the cost of shipping twice. It's not like the ones sent to customers are the only defective ones and the replacements are perfect. The replacements are being held for people who either keep complaining for one or people who have major issues like broken statues, so a replacement with some of the minor grievances everyone is experiencing is a real upgrade.

This guy is already over $1K ?

If I didn't like him, I would just return him. If someone sells it for 1K on Ebay, you are just making your money back. I put mine up for sale too on the forums, but really just to trade. I need to fund smaller Bowen Xmen.

Make money back? If I purchased it and sold it for 1k, I'd be making atleast $150.

I think my total cost from SS was like 750. So 1K minus 130 for fees, plus I'm guessing 100 for shipping and insurance for how huge and heavy the box is.

That would leave me with 770. Selling on the forums is a different story though... Then you would make 150.

Agreed. and my sideshow total was 650

Wit wasn't he 700? if he was only 600 from SS, than I misspoke. My bad. So I guess someone does make $100. Considering how much small statues go for sometimes, I think this one is worth it. It should be worth a good amount down the road. I don't see many Apoc statues being released.

I'd wait a little longer for them to receive and inventory returns and what not. But I think a lot of people are silently keeping it and accepting the credit

You're probably right.

I'll be up front about accepting a credit. Like someone said after I posted my pics, my situation isn't too bad. My main nuisance is the white dot on the neck armor. The missed blue paint on the thumb knuckle and the white spot on the ab are small spots. The etching on the arm is barely noticeable. I am getting replacements cables for the rust, though.

If they didn't miss those 3 small paint spots it wouldn't be perfect but I'd have no paint complaints, it's really an average paint job for SS.

My guideline for accepting credits on any piece are these 2 questions:
1. If I did ever want to sell, would this issue cause me to not at least get back what I paid?
2. Is the issue something I can continue to look at year after year and not have regrets about?

Selling to make a small amount also opens up the possability of a huge headache.
Damage during transit or the person you sell to getting the magnifying glass out and complaining.
Just not worth the reward especially on a piece with known issues.

Doubt it.

You'll never get SSC shipping rates for a giant box like Apoc. You'll also need to get insurance, signature required. Ebay takes like 10% and paypal takes about 4%. I'd sak 1k is breaking even.

Thread cleaned up and re-opened.

I hope cooler heads will prevail as infractions will be next, consider yourselves warned :lecture

Enjoy.

Ok so I just opened mine: EX #56 made it here without much to complain about. There are a few small paint defects but really nothing I can't live with...but let me just say this statue is F'ing incredible.

The size, the head sculpt, heck the overall design is just breath taking. This is absolutely a statue you need to see in person to fully appreciate as pictures really don't do it justice. Having said that yes the paint application is the one area that isn't a grand slam from APOC head to base although it's far from terrible on mine. There are small paint issues I see here or there but nothing too glaring and absolutely nothing serious enough to be considered a deal breaker IMO. Congrats to all of those who got one.

Congrats man. It's really starting to sound like something just went terribly wrong with the first batch shipped. But who knows... It was enough to convince me to not try and move up my captain america shipping/final flex date. Hahah

Got Reg #453 today, there are some paint issues but nothing that I would return it over. I really do love this piece, the size is just enormous, biggest piece I own by far. I have 6 PF's so far (working on a display area, no man cave atm) and I am really seeing the big picture from most people here who have been on these boards for a while. SPACE! :lol How do you guys do it? Keep a good amount of pieces boxed up and just rotate them out? I am assuming this is when you are at the 20-30 number total.
