Re: Hot Toys - TDK - 1/6 Bank Robber Joker 2.0 - Toy Fairs Exclusive 2014 - official

Really? I just watched (no pun intended :wink1:) that scene again this morning and I never got a clear view of what kind of watch he's wearing.

:hi5: If you'd like to get one, lmk. :wink1:

What kind of watch is that? It looks like one of those old early 90's watches with the calculator :lol

Yeah, they were cool. :lol You can still get them btw, it's a Casio CA53W, searched the model and ordered one in order to get accurate specs for my custom 1/6 model. :yess:

Happy for those who can get one this go around, but really wish they would have updated the sculpt. Also is it the same mask as v1? I noticed it's sculpted all in one but the shape looks the same.

I'm a bit out of date. Is this out yet? Is it a new sculpt? What else is planned Joker wise?

Is this out yet?

No. It was announced today.

Is it a new sculpt?

No. It is the original Bank Robber sculpt with a paint job from JC Hong.

What else is planned?

Hopefully nothing.

:lol That and the transforming robot-watch were awesome back in the day

I've always liked this Joker headsculpt the best. It may not look as much like Heath as Joker DX 2.0, but there's something about it that makes it great.

You're welcome. If you'd like to get one (I meain in 1/6 o course :lol) lmk as well.

I might get the real one actually :lol I used to have a similar one when I was a kid. Who knew The Joker wore an old 80's Casio watch? :lol If I get the bank robber figure, even though I said I won't (joker is my kryptonite), then I'll let you know about the 1/6 watch, thanks :)

Yeah :lol, do you also remember these early casio with cameras inside that came some years after the calculator watches I think (damm low resolution but also cool for their time).

Anytime! :hi5: You can get the real one for $14.92 at Amazon btw.

To all those who never owned the first one - it's cool you will soon be able to buy it.

To all of us fans who have bought these figures for years, it really is a massive **** you.

The clothing hasn't been improved or updated.

The headsculpt is the same.

Even the hands are the same - some are the same as the V1 Joker.

The knife, money, cards, guns and bag have all been released before.

And the only update is that purple bit of wool with a gas grenade.

I expected more people to be freaking out. I guess die-hard fans got this release the first time around.

We've had endless teasers for other figures - Icabod, Cannibal King Jack, Prometheus, Batman Returns, Arkham City, X-Men...

We get another Joker - a straight re-release of the first one.

I think it's insulting.

Isn't the Hong paintjob kinda meaningless? Not like he's personally painting every example or perhaps even any at all beyond the prototype.

Oh yeah! I felt like a super-spy having that watch back then! Camera's poo compared to even the cheapest phones we have now, but back then that was hot!

No more or less meaningless than the proto paint jobs on any other release, right? Presumably that will be used as a reference point for the machinated painting proc. . .er, I mean, the workers who will be "hand painting" these for HT.
