I personally think HT buys all these licenses just to hold onto them knowing full well they won't make anything, they just don't want another company to make figures.

I've seen this theory tossed about, and realistically it doesn't make any sense. I'm not sure if you actually believe this or are just speaking hyperbolicaly to start a conversation, but licenses are significant investments. With the value of the licenses that Hot Toys is acquiring, I think it's realistic to assume they spend a few hundred thousand dollars on licensing, maybe even a million or so. So buying up X-Men, BTTF, Prometheus and all this other stuff, just so Enterbay can't make it, that's just silly, that's literally flushing hundreds of thousands of dollars down the toilet. You don't get to be as dominant as Hot Toys by throwing money out the window.

Second, licensors make money off royalties from products sold. If Hot Toys bought a license, and then intentionally didn't produce anything, licensors would make very little money, and they would yank the license from HT. Licensors want to give the license to a company that will make products, and get that brand in front of consumers. No licensor would agree to let Hot Toys "sit" on a license and not make product. If after two years, Hot Toys had not shown Universal any sculpts or any progress, you can bet your ass they'd yank the license and offer it to someone else who WILL make product.

Loved this film since I was kid, so am looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Marty and Doc in Hot Toys 1/6 scale Both will be must buys for me!!

You can't have BttF without Doc, but the fact that they talk about Marty and The Delorean, specifically, leads me to believe that they may be done already. Makes me wonder if they aren't just waiting for 2015.

We'll see both in 2015 but seriously. No Doc? Just Marty and DeLorean? Hopefully we'll see Doc but other than that I'm excited about this but still a long ways to go.

2015 will be the release year of avengers 2. I wouldnt be surprised if this get pushed back even further or shelved to make way for more capt americas, iron men, thors, hullks, black widows, etc...

That would be a shameful missed opportunity then. These should come out in 2015 at the very latest. To miss that BTTF II connection would be...just...I don't even wanna..
