if people buy him, they will keep doing things like that to other new characters....if we dont buy him...they might get the "hint" and not do that to any future figures...

I mod my figures to get them to the look I want, Sideshow is not designing to my vision of the figure. They told us they were making a modernized Joe line, not exact copies of the original figures. Buy it if you like it, don't buy it if you don't.

Yep. Voting with wallet is good in theory, but Sideshow has demonstrated it doesn't seem to matter if these sell quickly or trickle out the door as parts breakdowns.
Obviously, any figure is going to have detractors, but when theres a majority of them... small minded people want you to think that the people unhappy with Destroy are unhappy with every release. I put up this challenge. Make the same poll KL made for Destro for Stormshadow v2, CC v2, or Baroness, and see how the results go.

That's not my issue. Firefly is my favorite figure. I just don't like how they changed him. I think he looks dumb.

I don't mind the "modernizing" of figures either. While I much prefer that they just stick to the source material, a good modernization isn't always bad, as devil pointed out. I think they took to much creative license with Destro for my liking. Head sculpts are the biggest disappointment to me. If they are gonna offer two sculpts at least make one look like the source. Nine times out of ten the sculpt is the hardest thing to customize after the fact, especially with a character as unique as Destro.
I can't say that I agree with every creative decision Sideshow has made, but the liberties they've taken pale in comparison with the two "Joe" movies. Any and all issues I may have with the design of a certain figure fades away when I think about the butcher job Hollywood did with my beloved characters.
He may not be the perfect Destro; or anywhere close in some freaks' eyes; but I'm satisfied enough to gladly add him to my collection.

Why make 2 heads if you're not going to put a standard looking destro head in the batch? I would have been saying the same about Baroness if we got 2 hair blowing sculpts.
very true...Sideshow never said they were doing exact copies of the ARAH card art...they did say they were going to use elements from ARAH.You're right,buy it if you like it
I think Destro looks awesome.....though I wouldn't mind a line of exact 1/6 scale copies of the card art

Theres been maybe 30ish Destro figures in the past 30years... make one of the heads look like the one they've produced on over 20of those heads. Theres a reason they keep going back to it, Destro is cool. It doesn't really boil down to 80s card art for me, I've already stated I'd love for them to do a moneybags Destro.

You're talking Gentle Giant 12" Replica's (I'll be picking and choosing those too.Too expensive to buy everything)....I meant 1/6 scale clothed figures exactly off the actual card art...
