Yeah I'd be interested to know as well. I think Soundwave is a... well Masterpiece.

Absolutely agree--Soundwave is the only MP I own so far. I had a ton of Transformers when I was younger but moved away from collecting them as I got older. I purchased the Hasbro MP Soundwave because he's one of my favorites and I wanted all of the cassettes. I'm very glad that I did. I don't think the MP line is one I need to complete but I'm much more interested in getting my favorites again after seeing how amazing Soundwave turned out. Now if the Dinobots would get released faster I'll own a few more!

Redone megatron was confirmed a while back by the same takara insider who told us about a redone Optimus prime for mp-10, a redone starscream for mp-11, bumblebee, wheeljack, and ultra Magnus. He also told us that other autobot cars were in the he pipeline before getting to Magnus, as well as bee and wheeljack.
Those being lambor, and the Datsun boys.

Do we know for certian he is correct?

no.

But since he has been on the money so far, so I see no reason to doubt him.

The Masterpiece line is definitely masterpieces compared to others on the market but I'm not a big fan of how Prime, Megatron, and Soundwave came out. I do like the Datsuns and Lamborghinis. Can't wait for Wheeljack to come out and see a prototype of Ultra Magnus. If I do get in to this line, it'll be more pick and choose instead of getting all of them.

I can't comment on Megatron since I'm still waiting on a new Megatron scaled with the current crop of MPs. But you dont like how MP-10 Optimus or MP-13 Soundwave came out? Here's a few pics of my Prime and Soundwave - I think they look amazing! What about them don't you like?

I love that shot, makes me wish I could get mine out & on display :(

This move to the bigger house is taking WAY too long now :(

Neil

Yeah, I dont get how some collectors can keep these sealed in the box for all time! For me, I just have to take them out and appreciate them in hand and up close. Just too awesome to be left in the box :)

Lol tell me about it.

Mine have been out & transformed once but then put away again until we move...it's driving me insane at the moment.
It's not only these though my Premium Format statues, Hot Toys Figures & General collectable statues (TF & Non TF Related) are all locked away waiting for display space :(

I was a MISB collector for a while (my Irwin/Bandai Dragonball Z, G1 Re-issue & Beast Wars figures are all still sealed) but those days are long gone, these need to be seen.

Lol, I think I'm heading the other direction - not in terms of collecting MISB, but in terms of, I keep putting toys away in their boxes because I don't seem to want them on the shelf anymore!

I think it boils down to, I really just want the pairing of Masterpiece Prime & Megatron, and I'd be perfectly happy with that; so until the new MP Megs finally surfaces, I may just hang onto MP10 (I also still have MP1 in it's box), and sell on the few others I've kept.

GeneralZodLives,
This year we're getting 3 Dinobots.

Next year we'll probably get Sludge and subject to demand a new Grimlock who's the easiest to design as it just needs to be a bigger, bulkier MP08 without the crappy gimmicks.

Doesn't seem too bad a wait to me particularly with FT's quality.

I didn't know how popular the masterpiece line was until today because they don't increase that much in value as far as i know.Listed nearly half of my MP collection on ebay yesterday, woke up this morning and BAM...Everything sold.

Never had this kind of luck with Hot Toys before. So i didn't expect much luck now either :lol

The MP line isn't increasing so much in value, except for MP10, because everything has gotten plenty of rereleases, but they are still popular and sell for their original value pretty easily.

In norway it's impossible to find buyers,so because of my high shipping cost overseas im not used to people buying my stuff before i drop the price. These quick sales is certainly a new experience for me :lol

Congrats on that Rock! I know the pleasant surprise when things sell more easily than you expect. . .and the annoyance when things just never seem to sell, despite your listing them for way lower than you would like to.

Thanks.Im trimming down my collection so it felt really nice to get rid of 7 MPs overnight :)

Still getting Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus.

Are all 3 Dinobots releases this year coming from FT? If so, I had no idea that they were being released so quickly. I'm picking up Scoria and would like to get all of them from the same company. I

Based on what their guy has posted at TFW it seems like their goal is to get FT-05-07 out by the end of the year and reveal a prototype for FT-08 as well.

I think a 3rd release this year might be pushing it but this is just speculation on my part as I don't know how far they are with the other Dinobots.

With Scoria almost ready to ship and the prototype for the next one complete I think there'll be 2 new FT Dinobots this year at the very least.

3 would be extra awesome if they can manage it but 2 is still better than none at all :)
